Can anyone think of a food (or additive) that is higher in fibre than it is in carb? Does it exist. I know that some nuts come pretty close to an equal number. Anything better I am overlooking.

well fiber one cereal has 24 carbs with 15 grams of fiber and no sugar added...pretty damn close if you ask me..other wise id say metamucil.
Metamulsal is probably the answer I was looking for! 9g effective carbs is way too high for me!Quote:

Cb25 hit it right, go for psyllium husk, no carbs, excellent natural source of fiber and tasteless if mixed right. ( or in pill form )
The psyllium and flax seed husks are great ideas. I have no idea why I had not thought of it. I'll stop by the Vitamin Shoppe on my way back from the gym today.
This is why I love this board. Post a question, get a good answer. Thanks so much.
I found some low carb rolls made from flax seeds...9g fat, 13g protein, 10g carbs, 7 of which are fiber. They're a little weird-tasting, but not bad.
Where did u get them. IS there a brand name?Quote:
