    Egg Whites

Ok, I usually boil 4 - 5 eggs for breakfast and just eat the whites. My question is can someone give me the nutritional facts about egg whites. I looked on the carton of eggs but it just has it for the egg as a whole.

    Thanks.

    i think it's 0 for most everything except for 4 g protein.

eggs have the highest BV (biological value) meaning your body uses all the protein from eggs.

So when doing the math for my diet I can just calculate everything as a 0 except for protein at 4g per egg??

PS: Egg whites get kinda sick tasting after awhile...

6 large eggs=40g protein. I only eat raw egg whites as cooked do not metabolize as well.

If eating raw, try egg beaters since they are pasturized you have no chance of getting salmonila poisoning (sp?).

In the carb department one egg white = 0.3 grams of carb and the yolk is 0.3 grams. So 3 whole eggs = grams of carb. 6 egg whites also have 2 grams of carbs (but less fat).

Well, duh! Great idea. I should have been able to figure that out. I'll stock up on a few dozen cartons tomorrow. Thanks.
