After all that humdrum about mad cow disease, i'm thinking about not eating anymore beef and eating more chicken and pork instead, what about you guys?

Bro, mad cow is way over blown. See what the media does to the massess
1. One case out of how many thousands of cows slaughtered a day in the US
2. The cow that was infected is whats known as a downer cow, used for dog food
3. Mad cow only infects the spine and brain of the cow, leaving more than 95% of the meat uneffected
4. Out of the twenty some odd people that contracted mad cow in England, all but one got it from eating cow brains
I'm happy cause beef prices are going to drop 16-18%. Time to stock up. If you don't want to eat beef, than thats just more for my stomach. You'd probably have a better chance of winning the lotto, than getting BCE

I wouldn't be so paranoid. Like Pheedno said, you can only get it if the meat has been contaminated by brain or spinal tissue. This is very unlikely because they are seperated right after slaughter. The U.S.D.A. has the highest standards in the world. Help support our agriculture, and keep eating beef.
