hey guys this might sound like a stupid questions but how do you guys stomach the nasty taste of protein powder and water? i've been trying for like the last week and i just end up throwing it back up... do you put anything that kills the taste or am i just a sissy? my shakes contain water, isolate, glute and dextrox..

Zero Carb Isopure Vanilla it tastes really bad with water.. but with milk it taste reaaaaaally good..

Sounds like you need to try a different brand of protien.

I drink ISO-PRO Low Carb... this stuff is awesome with water.
I like the vanilla over chocolate but haven't tried the strawberry yet. Mixed with Dextrose after a workout I think it tastes like cake batter, good stuff.

I just take the scoop and shovel the protein right in my mouth. Then I take a sip of water and swish it around a bit and swallow. Repeat as needed.
I really hate cleaning dishes and the stuff sticks like crazy to glasses.
Agree with Swole. Wanna get big? Ditch the whole "taste good" fetish.

I would dump the milk. The point of Isopure is that it doesn't have any carbs. If you mix it with milk you have defeated the purpose. Iso-pure is one of the, it not the best brand. If you really cant handle the taste, there are sveral other brand that are pretty good that are low in carb. I have been using the Vitamin Shoppe's Body Tech Product. 25g protien with 2g carb, and it tastes great. If you add 2 scoops with 5 ice cubes and 1/2 cup of water and put it in the blender, it comes out tasting like a McDonalds frappe. Designer Wey is not quite as tastee, but its not too bad. All Sports Nutrition seems to have a decent selection of different brands too, that you may want to try.

I just realized that you are in the city. Try the Vitamin Shoppe Body Tech protien. I think its $14 2 lbs when its on sale, and $17 when it is not.

thenx beenie i have vitshop like on the corner on my block... im going to go buy some today since my iso-pure is running low :-\ and lastnight i drank my whole shake with out having to clean my kitchen afterwards.. yeppie for me @!#

It sure is, as I offered to help the company out as they were just starting out, and I hosted their banner for them. They, in turn, mention me in their testimonials and the "how did you hear about us" to help me w/advertising too.
