chiken thighs vs breasts
howdy,
I looked around the site and couldn't find much info about this:
Why is it everyone's so obsessed with chicken breasts? Chicken-thighs (skin removed) is so much more tender and tasty
Is there less protein and more fat or something?
Dark meat is the best!!!!
Also, does turkey make anyone here sleepy? I just consumed a stupid amount of turkey and I feel like passing out.

I think that turkey thing was due to a chemical they ONCE gave to turkeys. I believe it is not used any more. I used to know the name of it but at 2am I dont.
Chicken breasts for me is just easy to make, it comes in a big bag of so many, can do a lot of stuff iwth it: put it in rice, fajitas, stew, soup, etc. Good cheap filler for protien.
Thighs is dark meat. Some people just prefer white meat when applying it to other foods such as veggies and rice. It has the same protien.
I just like the boneless skinless because it is easy to cook without the bone.
Did you know Ostrache is soon becoming popular compared to chicken due to its LOW fat content.

I had an ostrich burger a couple months ago at Fudruckers....it was **** good man. Actually has better taste than lean ground beef.

All poultry contains tryptophan. It's one of the most prominant aminos in the protein makeup in their muscle tissue. It also makes humans tired when injested. (not sure by what mechanism)
If you stuffed your ass, as most do on thanksgiving, with chicken instead of turkey you would get just as sleepy...(Not that I'm a Biologist or anything)
