    cardio:running or walking

    can walking be as good as running in burning fat,because i have a stress fracture and i cant run?
    i am planing to start am cardio on an empty stomach

    Walking is better than running for burning fat in most cases...As far as the "dieting society" here are concerned.

    Walk at 70% your max HR for 45 minutes on empty

    If you can get away with walking, then walk.

    I would be careful running or walking with a stress fracture. If you cannot run walking is much better than sitting on your ass or doing no cardio at all. If you belong to a gym, you may opt for a 0 impact cardio such as eliptical machine or star master. If you risk reinjuring, just don't risk it.

    ditto. do something that puts less stress on your stress fracture. i would also opt, if you can for a light interval regime. walk moderately fast for 40 seconds, then slow paced walk for 20 seconds. keep switching that up for 40-45 minutes.

    well i squat heavy deadlift heavy but when it come to running or jumping i feel little pain( i got this injury while jumping from high places while doing military training) but i can walk long distance without feeling the pain
