    Atkin's Diet?

    Hi guys, I'm an 18 year old male, 5' 11", weigh 226 lbs., and I recently started working out. I want to lose a few pounds by June. I was wondering, does the Atkin's diet work?

    Also, will an ephedra-based supplement like Stacker 3 help me lose weight quicker? I'm aiming at about 1-2 pounds per week. Any help is appreciated .

    bro if you take a look up top on the right hand side you can do a search and you will find that many people do not like the Atkins diet for burning fat...you dont want to lose weight (fat and muscle) you want to lose pure FAT...Atkins is not the way to do it..stick around the board and check out the sticky thread on top of the page titled the unofficial cutting guide...that's a d@mn good place to start.

    Just the fact that you started working out recently will help you a lot. Depending on the state of your current diet, you could get away with making small adjustments and still see good results without resorting to the atkins diet, which isn't anywhere near as fun as it sounds, nor is it healthy the way most people do it (by eating cheese and bacon by the pound).

    It is possible to loose only fat on Atkins. I made very good progress with Atkins. If I comare my Atkins style diets to higher carb diets, I lost much more muscle during the higher carb diets.
