    Serious question about 'Protien Farts'...

    ok a wierd one here,
    now i have noticed when i smash a bulking diet that i seem to have crazy horrid farts. mostly towards night/bedtime time. now im not worried about the smell or embarrasment or anything. my mates find it amusing and my girl has no option but to put up with it when i hold her head under the quilt after i let one go
    my question is what are they related to? some guys call them protien farts? and ive heard they are related to unabsorbed protien? but it all sounds rather unconvincing to me.
    what do they indicate?

    could be too much protein, lack of water, enzyme problem....many possiblities

    Actually, I get the farts when I over do it on carbs on the weekends.

    From what I have read and discussed with past nutritionists is that is does indeed have to do with your digestive enzymes and the stomach acids such as bile. A good product to help this is ginger root. It helps protect the gastric system by increasing the pH of stomach acid, reducing its acidity, thereby lower the rate of gastric secretions, and increasing digestive enzyme activity. Rather than blocking the feelings of nausea in the brain, it acts directly on the stomach and liver to reduce nausea and vomiting and most forms of "protein farts." Take the reccomended dose a day when you wake and your farts should die down.
