    5-6% loss in bodyfat....

I started my cutting diet a couple of days after christmas and it seems to be going good. I have set of digital calipers that takes a three point test. My Bf% when I started my diet was 22%. Now it is between 16 and 17%. I have lost 3 inches in my waist and my arms and chest have stayed the same. I am noticing more definition now. My weight has gone from 220 to 214, and the lowest being 212. I have dropped my cals from 3600 to 3100 so far and have only dropped 200 cals at a time. So my question is am I losing to fast ?? Some people say I am losing to fast. My strength has gone down but not to much. Maybe lost about 2 reps on some exercises. PLease let me know what you think!!

It seems like your right on track. Remember that along with cutting you will some muscle. Make sure to have adequate protein intake to minimize the losses. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies, this is what I was wanting to hear. I think my pro is enough right now at 325 grams. When i get my cals to 2700-2500 I might add a few more. I'll see when the time comes.

    Diet goes like this:

    R-ALA

    Meal 2 pre-w/out (1 hour before I workout)
    8 eggs(2 yolks, 6 whites) 330, 54, 0, 14
    Oatmeal 300, 10, 54, 5
    Glutamine
    R-ALA

    Meal 3 Pwo(ABout 20-30 minutes after workout )
    Whey 220, 46, 6, 6
    Dextrose 150, 0, 37, 0
    Creatine 140, 0, 35, 0
    R-ALA
    Multi
    3g vitamin C
    Glutamine

    Meal 4(1 hour later)
    5.5 oz chicken 291, 50, 0, 11
    Oatmeal 300, 10, 54, 5
    R-ALA

    Meal 5
    5.5 oz chicken or whey
    flax oil 130, 0, 0, 14

    Meal 6
5.5 oz chicken or 8 eggs
    Flax oil

Totals 3100, 326, 250, 100(not these numbers exactly but real close considering what I eat that day)

Thats it !!! If anyone has any suggestions on anything let me know.

Oh also, I eat like this 6 days a week and on the 7th day is cheat day. But the most I have cheated was on two meals the rest were clean. So its usually 1 bad meal.

I'd guess you would lose strength eating fructose/carbs/and fats w/little protein.

That's a killer on the physique........not in a good way either. Strength does come back, yes, but if you can avoid losing it, why not do so?
