    Bulking diet - what ratio protein/carbs/fat/total calories

    Hey guys

    Any advice on how to figure out a bulking diet? Today I started calculating my intake of protein, carbs, fat & total calories. Is there a magic number for caloric intake and protein intake? How do carbs adn fat fall into the picture?

    sorry bro I would let you in on my bulking diet but It may not be the best thing for you.I don't get super sceintific with bulking diets because its really about quantity of whole non-processed foods. for example I wake up and eat a bowl of oatmeal 6 eggs( I eat em with yolk too because I cant stomach whites) about three links of turkey sausage and a triple scoop of muscle milk protein mix. then about two hrs later I eat 8oz of yogurt and a glass of skim milk. an hour later I will eat a large sandwich with about a 1/4 lb of meat in it some potato salad some cottage cheese and a glass of skim milk. then about two hours later i eat two more sandwiches with some pasta salad a 50gm shake and two boiled eggs. then an hour later I drink a carb mix and a protein shake and work out. right after workout I drink two scoops of vanilla ice cream in a 75 grm of protein shake. an hour later I eat dinner usually a 18 oz steak or two large chicken breasts with broccoli and potatoes and a glass of yup you guesed it SKIM MILK before bed I eat some yogurt and wash it down with about 60grams of casein protien,I dont usually drink whey before bed because it absorbs a lot quicker ,and if I wake up in the middle of the night Ill drink some whey. Hope this helps its a little less sceintific then you may be used to reading about because I dont weigh my food or any of that **** I just make sure to space it out and get about 300+ grams of protein about double the carbs and about a fourth of the fat. I have a high metabolism and used to call myself a hard gainer and I found out I had a high metabolism and was a big lazy ass that didnt follow any pattern just wanted size to come by itself,eat and train till you puke and then eat your puke!!!

    Use the search button. My friends use the equation:

    1) divide weight by 2.2 to get weight in KG
    2) multiply weight in KG by 24 to get your BMR
    3) multiply BMR by: a) 1.0-1.1 if your sedatary
    b) 1.2-1.3 " lightly active
    c) 1.4-1.6 " moderately active
    d) 1.7-1.9 " very active

    Also for a bulking diet shoot for a ratio of 45%p/35%c/20%f. For protein intake anywhere from 1.3-1.7 g's of protein per pound of bodyweight.
