    Ideal timing?

    What is the ideal time to eat after doing 45 mins of morning cardio on an empty stomach?

    i usually wait 20 minutes to a half hour to eat...i know some that wait up to an hour, but after 30min my stomach is grumbling.

    I always tell people to wait as long as they can before they eat or drink anything besides plain water.

    I eat a protein/fat meal within 15-30 minutes of AM cardio if im in a cutting phase.

    You've already been without food all night assuming you are doing it on an empty stomach, there's no reason to extend the fast even further. You wanna shut down that cortisol as soon as possible unless you aren't concerned with losing muscle.

    Thanks, I'm currently cutting and am doing cardio in the morning on an empty stomach, I'm stuck with (should I eat pro/fat, or pro/carb) after my morning cardio, currently I'm eating my carbs in the morning, pwo shake, and pwo work out meal
    the rest of my meals throughout the day are fiberous veggies with Protein/fat.

    Throw in a protein shake and some dextrose immediately after your workout to get it in the protein window for insulin spike. then a good protein/fat meal is ok.

    Cutting... I do a protein/fat meal 30 to 45min. post AM cardio, usually steak and eggs.

    my bad. within the hour of your cardio to promote the best fat loss. make sure though that you have a good nitrogen balance if possible to maximize results.
