    which is better?

    hi guys..just wana know ur views on this topic..i understand that we all have different body types and we all react differently. which is best on a cutting diet? a carb up day of 2g of carb per pound of bodyweight one day a week, or a cheat meal(junk) one day a week? let me know how all of u think~ peace

    It really depends only on what the rest of your diet looks like during the week.

    personally i've done both....it depends a bit on dicipline as well...what sounds better to you, a full day of healthy carb alternatives, or one meal of pure $hit....i have to say that the healthy carb up is satisfying, but sometimes you just need to eat some cookies switch it up from time to time and see what works for you.

    i don't think it really matters that much...I like cheat meals cuz they keep me sane, but if for some reason i'm not havin a lot of cravings or just don't want to cheat, i'll do a healthy carb-up day and just not worry about calories or carbs. That in itself is pretty satisfying.

    haha...ye..a cheat meal keeps me sane too..currently, i'm on my 2nd week of dieting..weight didn't drop much..but lost a bit on the tummy..is this gd or bad??

    Well in some cases you will gain muscle mass while dropping bf. You can actually at the end your set dieting time wind up heavier but look leaner just because you put on a good deal of muscle and muscle weighs more than fat.

    Very true bro...I'm a week into a maintance phase (got down to 6% while cutting) and the mirror keeps telling me I put most of the weight back on. But my jeans fit the same and I look a lot thicker overall.

    I was wondering if you had a goal date in mind...or how many weeks you wanted to cut up for?? And every body type is different and will react different,(pertaining to everything.current diet/training/sleeping/working). IMO if you wanted to carb up for ONE day it doesnt matter how many carbs really...i would try to stay away from the crappy carbs tho..like the simple sugars...it takes ur body for to much of a loop..

    i'm currently 5 mths out from my show..i started early in order to see how my body reacts to diet...i hope to get to comp bf..not to be too ambitious..about7-8% within 2-3mth..i'm not sure how much bf i'm at now..maybe 14%? my abs shows pretty nicely, but jus a little flab on the lower abs..which i believe will go off soon..i ain't sure if i'm putting on muscle and burning fat at the same time..veins are coming out nicely..abs went down a little, arms and everything feels small, but looks big and cut than before..i'm rather confused right now..cos my weight just won't go down..dropped my cal from3460 -3000..2nd week though..dropped carbs from 360-250,fats at 77g and pro at330g...i reckon its the fats that make my weight stays the same..fats are from flax,and sunflower seeds..should i not look at the scale?? should i stay with my diet or just cut out some fatts?? confused..

    if you are showing some abs and have some vains then i would think you are more around 11 or 12%....with 5 months out you can still incorporate a cheat day, but make sure you know when to cut it off...my boy that did a show cut out cheating for around 3 months to get down to the necessary 2.5%

    wow...2.5%?? thats ..low man...he sure was one ripped guy...haha.. i hope i am at 11-12% like what u said..i haven take any pics yet..as i'm rather busy..will have some pics up soon ..

    Agreed. 2-3 months is ideal from what my friends who do competitions tell me.

    so letts say i'm supposed to cut out cheat meals 2-3mth out...and at the same time, realized my metabolism is slowing down..wahat should i do? increase calories for a day,clean calories?
