That's true... if he is doing the cardio in the am...
this diet worked for me.. with some modifications.. i always do PWO supplement and i usually eat 1-2 breast after dinner and a shake before bed.. low carb/low sugar..
my experience.. i didn't lose any strength.. lost 25 lbs...
and of coarse since there is little variation.. it takes a stuborn person....

I agree ingesting carbs post cardio will blunt lyposis but this could also be a great time for some guys to have one of their limited carb meals while dieting. This is a good time for a relatively lean person (let's say below 10%) to have carbs in order to prevent catabolism as a result of empty glycogen levels from fasting all night long. Now someone on the other hand with a bf% in the double digits should avoid carbs at this time (as you suggested) in order to reach their fat loss goals.

Screw the peas, if he takes in a half cup of brown rice at every meals (5 meals not including the 50-80 g of carbs post workout), then he is taking in 200 grams of carbs in just rice daily, and then 250-280 all together. Good luck losing weight on that diet...
