Need Help For Female Diet
My girlfriend is obsessive over looks. She's a beautiful girl and is in perfect shape but she see's herself differently. She's 5'5', weighs about 114 lbs. She goes to the gym 5 times a week and does cardio each time 45 mins to an hour. I also incorporated leg workouts for her 2 times a week, as well as upper body 1 time a week. (She hates working out her upperbody) She doesn't eat too much but she eats alot of junk food (Chocolates, candies, fast food) She just wants to lose the 5 lbs of baby fat thats surrounding her outer layer, you guys know what I mean? She wants that "celebrity" lean look. She won;t work out her upper body thinking she'll get buff. I keep telling her she will only tone up what she has. Can you guys confirm what I'm saying and help me draw up a good diet for her to follow?

Yeah, tell her to do light weights. Also, I suppose you could simply use the sticky cutting diet but cut the calories quite a bit. Junk food = a big problem. Tell her to cut the junk to see good gains. Instead of candy bars, eat protein bars (detour, oneway, odyssey, etc. They taste the same as candy) Instead of fast food, eat subway, blimpies, or some other place where you can choose what you want on your sandwiches. Then, you just cut the mayo, dressing, and cheese, and you got yourself a great meal.

girls that think they are going to get bulky from lifting weights
BULL$HIT! (ask my girl how much better her results got when incorporating weights Kim2884)
people that want to lose a few pound but dont know how...but eat tons of junk...hmmmmmmmm that alone will help her lose fat.
if she doesnt want to follow a "bodybuilding" diet then just tell her to cut out the $hit food and try to eat more protein and eat small meals every 3-4 hours instead of 3 large meals. if she wants to do it the right way then check out the unofficial cutting guide up top and adjust her caloric intake accordingly. and god d@mn it please tell her that lifting weights will only improve her looks.

oh in addition to upping her protein intake tell her to try and eat healthy carbs like oats, yam, and brown rice and get her to eat some greens...also flax oil tablets would benefit....as i said the unofficial cutting thread up to will really help...also if she is really against lifting upper body alone try having her do two or three full body workouts 2-3 days a week...then you can make it more like an aerobic workout with an anaerobic flare.

tell her bottom line to quit being lazy and eating junk food. good food for you may take longer to prepare but the results are umpteen times better. patience and persistence......bottom line.

I have my gf eating strict 6 days a week on a high protein, high fat, and a moderate amt. of carb diet. On saturdays I encourage her to eat whatever she wants (and believe me she takes advantage of every meal). She also weight trains and does cardio 3 days a week. Her saturday crap load day helps her manage cravings and keep her on track. Chicks (especially) need some reward day for their hard work or they tend to slack off and lose interest. So far she's very happy with the results.

The "celebrity look" your girl is looking for is the look she will get from weight training, including upper body. Look at any gorgeous famous woman...britney spears, madonna, jennifer garner, demi moore...they all have sculpted arms, shoulders, abs and legs. They most definitely work out with weights, not just cardio. They are not "skin and bones" and I don't think too many guys find that look attractive anymore.

No kidding she is only 16% bf which is low for a woman. I'll take this information and confirm everything I told her. I'll also write out her diet plan similar to mine. Thanks for the help.

I feel ya bro, my lady is the same way. She is into modeling, so she is always being critiqued. She is 5'11" and is 128lbs. I tell her she is perfect, which she is, but they don't listen, so i know where you are comming from. You can tell your lady what to do, and give them advice on lifting and diet. But they don't listen to you at all, but as soon as some stranger gives them advice, they stand at attention and listen & do everything they say. (Which is basically the exact same thing I told her)
Anyways, cut out the junk food, and start lifting light weights, my lady does now, and i think she is starting to like lifting better than cardio! She likes it cuz she sets goals and likes to she herself getting stronger! i dont' know, they are all crazy!

Wow, at least someone else here is in my position. It a bitch isn't it? You can never make them and they can never be happy with themselves.
