    Is Subway good?

As of right now I am including a sub from subway as part of my two meals for the day.

I get a foot long turkey on whole wheat....

I eat half at around 12 o'clock, and the other half at around 3 or 4 o'clock...

then I dont consume any more carbs after 3 or 4, depending on how busy it is at work (when I have time to eat)...

My question... is subway a good choice? I know it's one of their lower fat choices....

    thanks.

Depends on what you get on your sub. They claim they have all these subs that are healthy, but it's without all of the good stuff (mayo, mustard, chesse, etc). All depends on what kind of sub-turkeys cool, and what you get on it. I'm with Italianmuscle, I like to make my own food as well. Sub every now and then though hits the spot.

bro they can't be THAT dirty. im shure they have inspectors going around big restuarant chains like that just looking for a reason to shut them down.

the bread is just very poor quality and the meats are loaded in sodium. for the price i would pay for a 12" sub i could get 10 cans of tuna...

im not a big fan of subway for real food either...even if the bread was actually whole wheat (unsure of that) there is still a $hit load of processed refined carbs...for the money you can invest in some groceries and just pack a lunch.

Thats what I do. Instead of buying a sub from subway, just go buy yourself a pound of turkey.

i wouldn't make subway a staple in my diet, but every once in a while, i'll get a low-carb wrap w/chicken, veggies & light mayo or mustard. Before they had those, i'd get a salad w/chicken or turkey, oil &vinegar if i was in a pinch. But i prefer not to spend the money if i don't have to.

Subways used to be my "junk food" of choice when I decided to start eating healthy... was fine and dandy, except that I am now completely fed up of the stuff and the mere sight of Jared and his sandwitches makes me gag.

It's a horrible choice. If you have to order something from subway order a wrap with double meat or a salad with double meat. A 12 inch sub has 80 grams of crappy carbs and loads of crappy low grade meat.

Subway, Chilies, TGI fridays, Ruby Tuesdays.....etc etc...the list of places that do sick $hit is endless cuz they all do. i worked at a beach club where members paid up to 10grand for a three month membership....you think that stopped us from doing nasty $hit....it happens no matter where you go and you only get inspected once a month if that and of course you know the day they come and even if you fail you get a significant amount of time to clean up. the restaurant business is dirty...people are scummy hell i know someone that worked at a really nice 4 star joint that dropped meat in trash washed it off and grilled it...it doesnt matter if it's subway or a nice place...people are dirty.

When i'm in a rush and i have to eat out, i always get a 12-inch roasted chicken breast double meat with no dressing/cheese, then eat half and save half for later.

I find it funny that their "Fresh Hot subs" are just cold subs, but they throw the meat in the microwave for a minute.

Thats something to ponder. If only we knew what really goes on in a kitchen. I guess its best not to know, what you dont know wont kill you. Given the circumstance, i'd suggest buying all the ingredients and making it yourself just to be sure.
