    to bulk or not to bulk

    i´m currently bulking and eating at least 3000 cals/day.. i started to gain weight realy easy but i think its just fat, im at about 13-14%BF.. now i cant decide if i should continue to bulk with this fat-filled food, or if i should stop.. i mean most of the weight will dissapear when i start ripping right? am i wining anything by continuing bulking? i figure that only thing im doing now is to add days to the ripping process

    what do you think?

    It's really up to you. Anytime you bulk you will put on same fat with it. But the cleaner you eat, the less fat you will attain. Just eat a good ratio of 45p/35c/20f and you'll be set. But like I said, putting on weight or cutting up is totally up to you.

    Why are you bulking with "fat-filled" food?

    There's no reason you cant eat clean and grow.

    well for example.. the most cal. rich thing i eat is peanutbutter and i drink whipped cream (got this idea from a sportsmag and has been tested by others too).. and as you maybe know, these two consist ALOT of fat.. but your right, i should eat clean.. problem is that most foods with much cals. consist of eighter fat or carbs and both make your bf go trough the roof

    haha yeah.. the cream is not "whipped" so its like milk with another taste.. but yea its true.. 360 cals / 3 dl.. i have one of those with protein shake a total of 1000cals/ drink!
    and once again, i am not the only one who has tried this.. far from it

    whipped cream in a protein shake, thats somethin I havent tried, i used to use homogenized(sp?) milk and that was pretty think and rich, but whipped cream.... geez, I might give it a try.

    yeah you do that, i heard from one guy at anabolicfreakz.com that he tried it and gained 30lbs in 1-2 months.. if your gonna test it you should be aware that it tastes pretty bad, so add some strawberrys to it and it will be drinkable.. and dont drink to many of these or you´ll end up at the toilet 5 times that day

    all i can say that if you are eating poor choices for food no matter what caloric density you will gain too much fat...you can definitely eat clean and still get in enough calories....IMO Beef would have enough fat and good proteins and provide an adequate amount of calories...just one example of what you should be eating instead of whipped cream.

    so u say u drink whipped cream as a protein drink ... how many times a day do u drink it and how many times a week ? if i started drinkin this im sure if i worked out enough the fat would become muscle right .... im only 145 pounds i wanna get weight but not fat .. muscle

    first of all muscle does not get changed to fat....that's like saying an apple turns to an orage..different things....also you can workout like a champ but if your diet sux then you will get fat...TRUST me cuz i went thru this when i was a fat lineman. also whipped cream has ZERO nutrional value..hell the fat is mostly if not all saturated and there's no protein in it. trust me this is not a good way to get in calories.

    How can you possibly incorporate whiped cream into your diet beside licking it off some chicks breasts then having a good hour of cardio?

    yeah i eat alot of beef to and meatloaf.. its great.. at this hour i dont drink whipped cream anymore since i decided to cut and id ont want all that fat from whipped cream

    note that this thread was written when i bulked.. whipped cream DOES have a high nutritional value, 3dl is 350kcal! anyhow, i gaining 6lbs after 1 week of whipped cream (i didnt care if i gained fat or muscle since i weigh very little for my height).. now ironicly i decided to start cutting and i loose bodyfat realy fast so it doesnt affect me much anyways now.

    not to sound like an asshole but what is the point of gaining fat druing bulking? just to cut it when youe cutting? that makes no sense what so ever and whip cream is terrible no matter if you eat it drink it or snort it..

    haha ok man im not gonna get pissed because i know u didnt want to be rude.. as you know fat consists of ALOT of energy so 1 hour prior to training i used to down a shake with whipped cream, a total of 1250kcal, alot of energy.. since i wanted to bulk i ate food with alot of carbs and protein, now to allow the carbs to become glycol and build muscle.. i ate food to a total of 20% fats, 50%carbs and 30% protein of the daily total caliory intake.. the fat was then prioritized as the energy source and the carbs could easier build muscle.. also note that i didnt get fat from other foods so this was the only fat containing source i got troughout the day..
    and as i wrote, i burn fat realy fast so the extra pounds of fat arnt a big problem for me now when cutting.. next year ill eat it, drink it and snort it.. ofcourse in controlled measures, its gonna be great!

    well just for a final note, if you think it works and you have no problem taking off excess fat then go for it. i wish i could down some whipped cream but hey i happen to be one of those people that is sensative to EVERYTHING. i basically have been cutting 90% of the time i have been watching my diet (3 years now). i bulked up only once and then just tweaked my cutting diet more and more til i finally learned enough to really get shredded. i think once i get down to contest weight and really be ripped i'll think about bulking over the winter...still even then i dont wanna get up to much more than 11% fat, which is where im at right now.
