MidNight Meal and Morning Cardio?
Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the nigt and consume a protein/fat combo in the form of a shake.
Lets say I have this shake at 4 o'clock and then do mrning cardio at 8 o'clock. Would I get the benefit of burning fat on an empty stomach or would my body use that shake as my energy source?
I guess what Im trying to ask is how long should I wait between my last meal and mrorning cardio to reap the benefits of cardio on an empty stomach?

ditto..i would say 4-5 hours would be sufficient. my buddy was contest dieting and his trainer told him that in the event he couldnt wake up early and do cardio on empty (he had to work every day at 7am) just wait 2-3 hours to do cardio to get a good amount of fat loss in.

This time-frame is fine, and your cardio is most productive, u have nothing to worry about.
Take an ECA or NYC 20-30 mins before to further help you. You may also wish to throw down 100-200 mgs of R-ala with the shake. This won't make u go hypo, but will help you get into your fat burning mode quicker a.m. (Don't take Vanadyl Sulfate with this shake, it's too harsh)

Great habit to get into especially if your not taking any anabolics. Shouldn't have any effect on your fat burning goals.

hey guys..i'm not trying to hijack this thread..just wondering..can one get down to comp bf without doing cardio? on the other hand..with a low carb/calorie diet? and normally how long does this take compared to doing cardio?

Cardio assures you burn FAT if done properly.
Sitting on your (__!__) on reduced calories hoping to lose fat and not muscle, ain't gonna happen!

but if one bust his (_!_) in the weight room,at the same time with reduced calories, wouldn't fat be used in promoting recovery after training throughout the day? i've since lost 1.5 inches of my waist with a reduced calorie diet with no cardio yet..is this gonna be temporary or wat? i'm not trying to be ignorant..as i have had a hard time trying to incorporate cardio in my busy schedule..and i travel about 30mins-an hour frm home to gym..is this time frame too long to go with an empty stomach on cardio?

Nothing is impossible, but you'll have to see what you can accomplish w/out cardio!
Some can include cardio and MORE nutrients for lean mass preservation/gain, and actually hold on to more muscle while losing fat, and maintain a higher metabolism. That's the general rule, as if you are active all the time, and have the mentality to eat for your activity realizing activity IS what shapes/burns/sculpts, etc., you have a much easier time reaching your goals, you look better when you are there, and you are able to keep them longer. Not only because your body is in better overall shape, but you are already used to moving/eating as such, and you know what it takes to hold on to that look you have.
When it's a lifestyle approach and not a "diet" approach (diet usually yields "short term" eating adjustments, from which you always go "off your diet" or way of eating to reach a goal) it's actually much easier. Again, you'll have to see where you fall in between those two. Let me just say that cardio actually helps repair and circulation as well, and is only catabolic to those who don't know how to eat to support their efforts the other 23 hours during the day.
So, you may end up weighing the same at the end w/both approaches, but one will yield more lean mass and less fat than the other, aka different body compositions. Diet is the key in all of this, as that is what shapes you along w/the activity choose/don't choose to do. Cardio w/the right dietary approach will beat the pants off of a no cardio approach any day in regards to the muscle/fat ratio and final weight (body comp) at the end. Again, there are always exceptions to the rule, but they are few and far between. What you choose is up to you, just telling you what I know from experience in myself, those I help, those I learned from.

gd info..i'll incoporate cardio..no matter how busy..and see wat works better..it all comes down to experimenting am i rite..lol..peace out
