what brand of mix do you use?
i read a lot about pwo shakes and meal replacement shakes, but i cant quite figure out what you all add to them.
i drink a whey protien shake mix with water/milk, but dont add anything else to it(besides some of the stuff from receipies section)
i mean, i dont add anything like creatine,carbs,etc
what do you put in your shakes?
why do you put it in there?(simple not scientific explaination-ive read those)

for post workout i use whey protein with dextrose....for other meals i use whey protein and flax oil.

Yeah i do the samething da man does... Strawberry with dex for post work out and in the am 1 scoop with some creatine that i have left over..

Indeed....
whey w/an essential fatty acid is great for a positive nitrogen balance, and whey w/dextrose and water is great pwo.
It doesn't get any easier.

oh and one thing that i discovered is the sugar free coffee syrups flavored with splenda.... 1/4 of a cup is considered calorie free but all you really need is a small splash to enhance the flavor of a vanilla or chocolate shake. really good if you cant stomach any taste of flax in your shakes. there are a lot of flavors out there too and you can get them at most decent coffee shops.

hey sc since your the resident diet guru and brought it up, you have a link to what positive nitrogen balance is? or got a quick explaination or what it is how to achieve it and why i would want to?
how about dextrose, is it in a powder form like whey? got a brand you can suggest?

as far as the dextrose goes yeah its corn starch/sugar you can get it from a local grocery store if not www.1fast400.com has it for like 1$ a lb..
