    Can this be right?

This may be a stupid question but it just had me going

I've started eating 2 of these chicken drumb sticks instead of venison on my non-workout days (to save the venison), and this is what it says:

    (1) 108g DrumStick
    160 calories
    Fat 9g
    Sat. Fat. 2.5g
    Cholesterol 80 mg
    Carbs 0
    Protein 19

Just had me wondering because that is a lot of protein for so little chicken isn't it? Most of that 108g Drumstick has to be bone right? But on the other hand, don't see why they would lie on the package.

well it probably is 108g of meat so to get that amount would require more than one drumstick. i could be wrong though....you should just measure them out on a scale and see what it says.

Thanks guys, it says serving size = 1 Drum Stick (108g) and they measure out to be about that so who knows, I will check that out Elliot.

Also, I've always wondered....will burning food cause it to lose any macros? Or will it still be the same amount of macros no matter raw or burnt to a crisp?

Okay well that site just totally tore apart my calculations lol. Which would be more accurate, that site or NutritionData.com? Because ND.com told me that 100g of venison=22g of pro where as that site told me 100g of venison=30g protein. This would put me at about 290g pro. on w/o days.....if 100g=30g will this 290g pro. be too excessive on w/o days considering I weigh about 170?

Nutrition Data uses the USDA National Nutrient Database...Therefore the values are EXACTLY the same...Read the footnotes on the listing at ND..."Data for this listing was provided by USDA SR16."

    Check...
    http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/cgi-bin...rch.pl?venison - CLICK RAW
    http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts-001-02s03po.html - 100 g Raw

What do you know, both are the same values...157 Cal, 22 Pro, 7 Fat, etc...

Compare apples to apples Rock! Not apples to oranges...

Again its 100 g of Raw is 22 protein, so if you cook it and then measure your 100 g portions you are eating more then you should, water weight is partially gone, unless you use the cooked values....

Naw bro, maybe I just got confused and looked at the wrong one (You know they have steaks, loins, raw, cooked). And I do measure the meat out raw. Thanks for your help though. Knew I would feel stupid at the end of that question.
