Try some Ms.Dash, it's sodium free. You might also want to locate some Maui Onion salsa, which is sodium and sugar free for the most part. Try garlic and pepper as well to add some needed flavor.

pepper is key...and i was gonna say Ms. Dash as well...also just go to the super and find some good seasoings...things like oregano, paprika and basil are all pretty much sodium free...also, if you drink enough water (1.5-2gallons a day) then sodium shouldnt really be an issue...unless you are contest dieting.

I'll be honest w/my feelings on this.

Plain ass chicken and yams or whatever you utilize to drop all the water you can, and for whatever reason, gets straight up BORING!!!!!!

I never realized how much salt/sodium satisfies our taste buds. It's also a flavor carrier (actually enhancer, fat is a carrier) for OTHER flavors in a food, so when it's omitted your food tastes like @$$.

I've tried pepper, lemon pepper, Mrs. Dash, Mr. Sprint, etc., but man, there is nothing that is going to really help the ordeal after a few days. Hopefully u are just doing this for pics or a show, as doing this long-term is not healthy anyhow.

U may wish to drink distilled water in place of regular drinking water to help shed some excess water weight, it works!

**** straight! There's no reason not to use salt unless you're contest dieting. The reason so many nutritionists warn people about sodium is because most people eat canned, frozen, packaged, or fast food all the time. Most of us on this board don't eat these kinds of food and also drink plenty of water...so I think we shouldn't have to worry about it as much.
A little salt and pepper can make a huge difference in the way something tastes. I didn't figure this out until I started watching Emeril religiously. Now I walk around quoting him : " I don't know where you get your chicken, but where I get mine it don't come seasoned"

I've literally made a list of everything you bros have suggested, mrs dash, sprint, oregano, basil, hot sauce, garlic.....i'm getting ALL OF THEM ...its not that I'm trying to completely eliminate salt from my diet..just during breakfast and dinner..because meals like lunch are at my place of work and although i can pretty much find a clean meal to fit the bill, the salt i cant control..just balancing i guess....i'm cutting but not contest cutting .but i do have alot of water weight. anyways, thanx for the suggestions...i'm goin shopping today

I used to use Knorr seasoning a lot but found out it was bad. I regularly use sesame oil, chili oil in place of olive oil. Ive also found out that paprika, cayenne pepper, basil, oregano will usually make the chicken/fish more tolerable as the taste isnt as monotonous.

so if you're only cutting, how much water do you drink?? i've been drinking 2 gals a day and havent really had a huge problem with water...also so you know most hot sauces have sodium...not much, but still it's there. and maybe you can try eating less tuna and more chicken if you can afford it....tuna has a decent amount of added sodium.

Yeah, get in the habit of pounding water. Those who hold water tend to not drink as much for fear of holding more, but the opposite holds true. U won't hold on to something you get a plethora of.

Also, going very low or low in general on sodium for extended periods of time is very unhealthy actually. Better to drink more water and eat the sodium, than to restrict water and sodium. You only do that for a few days before a show or pics/event, u can't live like this.
