Honestly, i dont think that substituting whey shakes for regular meals is a good idea. i mean you will increase your protein intake but with straight protein whey shakes you will be losing out on a lot of valuable carbs. if you deplete your carb stores your body has to derive them from proteins and muscle in your body. my suggestion to you, is either choose smarter lower calorie, lower fat carb foods or if you're really stuck on the idea of taking shakes, then try a meal replacement shake, which is loaded with calories, which you dont want cuz you're trying to cut up right
