    Fat loss Cardio Question

O.K., everywhere I read I get confilicting views on what the best form of cardio is for maximun fat loss. I have currently been jogging for 40 minutes at a pace which keeps my heart rate at about 70-75 percent. Would this be good, what do you guys do?

It can be anywhere from around 65-80. I found with myself that 75-80 worked better for me.

Everyone will differ, yes, but 65-75% of MHR is the standard for pure lipolysis.

You'd be well served to add an incline or increase it, and utilize a nice brisk walk for 45 mins, forget jogging. Chances are you are turning an aerobic exercise into an anaerobic one, and you most certainly do not want to do that.

One of my favorite things to do and b/c I have a bad knee its really easy as well.. Go on a tredmill set the incline to full which is 15 for me and set your speed at like 2.2 or something arround there and just do that for 30 to 45 min... TRUST me if works..I know you probably know that but ill say it any ways DO NOT DO THIS ON LEG DAY you will fry the hell out of your legs. Also when doing your cardio this was your not going to hit a anaerobic state as Swole says this way you will have no fear of burning muslce at all.. So IMO this is the best way to cut up without fear of losing muscle plus while doing this along with your weight training your most likely gonna ad new muscle which will make burning calories ever better.

How do you find out what your MHR is? I've always been told to do cardio at the fastest pace you can while still beingle to hold a conversation...

that's actually a decent estimate...however to find the heart zone you wanna get into the formula is ((220-age) *.65) or there are one's online that take into consideration your resting heart rate..probably a bit more accurate, but the formula above isnt that bad
