My State of the Union Apology

This kind of post is usually in the lounge, but for the bros in the diet forum, this is for you all. The lounge seems to have it's own issues today anyhow,

Just wanted to apologize from momentarily taking away from the focus of this location, which is to learn, educate, help, test, report, contribute, etc. I recently took part in bashing, bantering, defending myself, etc., all actions I don't have the funnest of times doing. I actually received an apology from someone who was attacking me and arguing repeatedly w/me (names not needed, you can guess), and this happened in the Lounge. The thread this was in got deleted, but I felt it was very ADULT and congenial of the person to do this, and just wanted to say thanks.

I also aim to be the spot-on, accurate, "don't speak unless you proof-read your posts and think" type trainer/educator/helper that people have come to know me to be. A lot of this could have been avoided if I would have been clearer and offered more constructive criticism in the first place. Then after my persona was attacked, well, all rules go out the window then,

Anywho, you all deserve an apology from me, or so I feel, and so this is it! Rarely do I feel the need to apologize, but I don't like the way these events made me look, but more importantly how they made me feel. I like this board, my board, all the boards I am part of, for camaraderie and friendship, not deceit and hate. You can bet I'll do my best to steer clear from all of these types of events in the future.

Now, back to learning.

Nah, that time of the month comes in another week or so,

I've come to realize I need not reply to every challenge/threat/etc., as reputation alone should be enough to stand on if you are your helpful self 99% of the time.

Sometimes I forget that.

Swole wtf are you appolagizing? people have bad days.. anyone who takes **** to the heart needs a good 2 by 4 to the face in fast paced repetative fashion.. the **** thats going on in the launge is disgusting and no need to bring it here..

Yeah, but I feel the need to do so (apologize) to you all, not to anyone I have issues with, or to anyone having issues w/me. I like being here, helping, learning, sharing, etc., and I hate to get sidetracked with "Louge-like" encounters that find their way into our diet forum. I was part of it, never should have been, and won't be. It's not fair to those in the diet forum who are here to make this place "familia".

I'll just be more mindful of what my responses are to certain topics, and I'll be accurate and tactile in nature when I do decide to tear a theory/practice/method apart, and I'll do so w/utmost accuracy, not generalizations from what I've heard through the grapevine, no matter how believeable that vine may be.

Dont sweat it, everyone's first reaction is to stand up for themselves when being attacked...the members that have been here over the years know the positivity that you bring to the table...we also understand how it feels when personally attacked..apologizing for your behavior is something that we can see you doing (your a stand up bro), but it is not something that we expected from you...we know what your about....I hope the unwanted stress of the lounge hasnt put a damper on your feelings for the board and its members...you are a very valuable source information/experience, and we want you to stick around....nuff said
