    don't laugh

my question is this: as far as cheap and quick carbs go, is ramen(w/out the spice packet) ok or is it too processed and cheap to be taking in around 6 packs a day?????????

Holy sh*t man, you know how much trans fat those things have, not to mention the noodles are FRIED. Check the fat content on those babies, and couple that w/the ****ty carbs, you have disaster.

They are dubbed "welfare noodles" for a reason.

Six packs a day you'd be sh*ttin' noodles 24/7 as well............

Much better choices available yams, oats, potatoes, rice, etc.

6 packs?!?!? If you want cheap carbs, buy some oatmeal or brown rice. It isn't that expensive and is much better than Ramen. "Welfare Noodles"- bahahaaha.

welfare noodles, that's funny. It's just that every time i cook my food on sunday, i cook for a weeks worth(rice, potatoes, etc.) and they always go mushy or bad too quickly. But when I cook for half the week, i get so busy the diet slides come thursday cuz' i haven't had time to make the new batch. This is primarily a problem with carbs. Meat goes quick on the Foreman, tuna's in a can, etc.

I think it was rambo who posted the idea, but try mixing raw oats into your protein shake. I've been doing this, it's quick, easy and tastes pretty **** good! No preperation needed.

Daman- I've done it with chocolate and vanilla. Today I cooked the oats and mixed in a scoop of chocolate flavored protein. Both are pretty **** good, but I actually look forward to my shakes with the oats in it, then again i don't mind these healthy concoctions(sp?).
