Question on canned yams
Okay, none of the stores around here sell whole sweet potatoes. But you can get them in a can cut into 57g cubes. Problem is that they are floating in corn syrup. The nutritional facts on the can says:
200 calories
.5g fat (0 sat)
49g carbs
4g dietary fiber
16g sugar
1g protein
That is for 3 peices. Anyways I'm just wondering if I drain the corn syrup, will these canned sweet potatoes be okay ppwo? Or do you think the potatoes absorbed alot of the syrup, and it would be a lot of sugar? Just curious.

Personally I would stay away from the canned ones, that's alot of sugar which you dont want. You should be able to buy the real deal at almost any supermarket. I get mine at Kroger, Randalls, or Wal-mart.

Ditch it. Corn syrup has way too much sugar.
