No whey, supplements, nothing
Hey i have decided to quit taking whey, glutamine, bcaa's, ECA, etc. I'm thinking since i'm only 17 i feel as if i am messing up my body with all these chemicals at such a crucial age of growth. I plan on eating 6 solid meals a day, but i don't know what to sub a pro/dex PWO shake with solid food with...

I don't think protein will hurt you at 17, I took the stuff on and off at that age, and I take it religously at 19. However, if you don't want to take it, I would go with dalcowbags suggestion.

I can see cutting the ECAs but the rest of it is all stuff that you find in regular food anyway -
but if you insist...you can use honey, or instant rice PWO - basically look for something with a high GI rating. Add some protein and you've got yourself a PWO meal.

Yeah, definitely don't want to live on the wild side there!
Really bro, since you are 17, you're not even supposed to be on this board.
You need to learn consistency youngin'.........not a flame, just solid advice.

Giving up protein supps for fear of too much "chemicals" in your body means you have laboring under a misconception. Sounds like you are reacting to something your parents, friends or family doc commented, all of whom probably dont understand bodybuilding and what it entails.
Whey protein comes from milk...soy protein from soy so on an so forth....its completely natural and convenient..BCAAs and glutamine are just kinds of proteins as well....the only chemicals in your list is the ECA.
For someone so concerned over "chemicals", I sure hope you've never touched alcohol
anywayz, just my 2 cents

I think I need to give up water and steak too...........too many chemicals.
Honestly, I THINK I know what he means, but then again I'm not sure. I don't want to flame him, I'd rather help him, but when I try to do that it just goes in one ear, and straight out the other, warp speed.
