i just got a set of BF calipers, i remember getting it done back in high school for wrestling.. so i think i'm doing it right. but i just cant beleive that its as low as it says.. theres a pic attached. 5-6mm (1/2inch) on the readout. Everytime i do it i get the same things give or take a smidge. SOOOoo does that mean i'm running %5 ??? thats crazy cuz i'm scrawny but not ripped. i'll put a pic on here too, dont laugh. am i doing it right???

i agree with you!, i mean under the right shaddow i can see some ab outline ;X haha. when i do the mathmatical caculation its like 14-15. Maybe the measurments on these calipers arnt in %. :shrug: thanks for the quick resopnse tho
Ok i jsut read another instruction set on how to do it and according to the chart readout i should be 9% BF. still seems low. anywas.

how could you be doing a bf% test on yourself?
a 4 point test would be taken off he bi, tri, subscapalar, illiac crest. You could not take the measurments by yourself.

The calipers are very good for tracking relative progress, but the % they give you is usually not accurate.
Just pick a couple spots with a good amount of fat and measure them consistently...if you are making progress the numbers should be going down irregardless of what % it tells you.
