What is the goal of this diet?

If it is a cutting diet you have too many carbs spread out during the day, protein-only meals aren't a good idea and it looks like you have several of them.

A good place to start would be reading the cutting diet sticky at the top of this forum.

I'm trying to get cut before i start my next cycle. The cardio today was after my workout for 30 min. I am debating on whether or not i should do it before breakfast however. But i have heard that If u do not eat before doing cardio, the body will draw on muscle tissue for energy, putting you in a muscle deficit.

Well whoever told you the draw on muscle tissue statement doesnt know what he's talking about. The first thing your body burns when you do A.M. cardio on an empty stomach is fat, NOT muscle.

Read the sticky at the top of the page on how to cut and come up with a diet from there.

I'm still fairly new at this myself, but I think I'm getting the hang of it, so here goes...(responses in italics)

    8:30-Apple
Why the fruit here? Most of the guys here say to lose the fruit while cutting (just use a good fiber supplement like Metamucil ).

    9:00-1 package outmeal (equal)
    Protein shake
    flaxseed oil
You don't want high carbs and high fat in the same meal. Choose one or the other.

    12:00-8oz chicken
Add a fat here--you don't want protein only. You'll also probably want to lower the serving size of chicken, depending on how many calories you're looking to take in here.

    2:30-Tuna
    1 cup brown rice
It's probably best to go with a pro/fat here and do the pro/carb after your workout.

    4:00-protein shake
    Add some flax here.

    7:00-8 oz steak
    green vegetable
    Fine.

    9:00-post work out shake
Add dextrose here, if you don't already.

    10:00-11:00-6 egg whites
This might be better in the A.M. with your oats, but if you want to use egg whites for your protein here, that's fine, just add either a fat or a carb. Ideally, your PPWO meal should be a pro/carb meal.

Also, while cutting, you'll see better results if you can up your cardio to five or six times a week (in the moring on an empty stomach). Hope this helps. Good luck.

Almost everything Speed Trials said was great. To add onto what he said, your 7:00pm meal should have a complex carb there and your 10-11pm meal should have a slow absorbing protein and fat as egg whites are not slow digesting protein. Try a casein protein with flax seed oil or ground flax seeds themselves.

I was told by a friend that an apple a 1/2 hour before meal 1 will speed my metabolism up. It might be any fruit im not sure. I actually pretty much just copied his diet and changed it for the time I wake up. What fat can I add to the chicken?

Well what your friend told you I've never heard of, so I can't say he is right or wrong just that I disagree with it. Fruits contain the natural sugar fructose and if anything, most fruits will pass right through you. And as for the fat needed, use something like flax seed oil or ground up seeds themselves or some kind of nuts. I know several people, including myself, who use almonds.

I've never heard that before about fruit, so I can neither confirm nor deny it. As for adding fat with your chicken, you can use a low GI vegetable like broccoli and add some olive oil.

What if i use flax seed to cook the chicken? Can that work? Also what is your opinion on hot sauce and other things that contain just sodium? Should I stay away or will it not effect my diet?

Hot sauce is fine. As long as your water intake is high, I wouldnt worry much of sodium content in foods. I wouldn't use the flax to cook the chicken. I would just grill your chicken plain then mix the ground flax seeds in water.

I would say 8-11oz of chicken and 1-2 tbsp. of flax seed oil with the chicken.

Yeah, use the flax oil. You can always just down a tablespoon of it by itself. As for the serving size of the chicken, that depends on your goals. I use about a 5oz serving (140 cals) because I have a fat or carb with it, but that's me. If 8oz doesn't cause your total calories to get too high, then just stick with that.

Oh, and Daman, thanks for the correction up there--I'm still a newbie, myself . But that's what I like about this site--you can literally learn something new everday.
