formula for calculating heart rate???
Alright, ive seen, plenty of times, people list a formular for calculating what your heart rate should be at when doing cardio.
200 - AGE * .7
My question is, are you all following order of mathematical operations when calculating this, or going left to right? For instance, im 21 yrs old so if I did it by order of operations
(200 - ( 21 * .7 )) = 185.3
And from left to right:
((200 - 21 ) * .7) = 125.3
Which one do you guys go by?
Thanks

(220 - age) * .7 = HR

That means for proper fat loss, my heart rate while doing 40min of cardio should be 125? That is extremely low in my opinion, how can anyone do 40min of cardio at such a sluggish pace. Most people can reach a heart rate that high just doin an exciting crossword puzzle

the complete one I know is
220- age - HR *.65-80 (depends of your age) + HR = 1(the 0.65)
= 2(the 0.80)
You shoud be between the two number.
