Over-eating on cheat days
I've been in a cutting phase for months now and I've made great progress. But I do know that I'd have more progress and at a quicker rate if I didn't over-eat on my cheat days. Cheat days have been very frustrating for me. I wait all week to get to my day where I can have a couple cheat meals (instead of an entire day) and then I end up eating too much and feeling like garbage. I try and limit myself to 2 cheat meals on this day but always end up eating more. This is because I have a hard time eating that chicken breast later in the day after I had the Mcdonald's for lunch. My body always craves more and more garbage after those 2 cheat meals. So I'll usually have my bacon, eggs and pancakes for cheat meal 1 and then pizza or burgers in the afternoon. But I always find my way back to the store to get chips or even another value meal or fried chicken. And then I feel sick and regret it!!
Any way to curb this behavior??
By the way, I have no problem sticking to my diet during the other 6 days of the week. I never cheat...sometimes I want to but I don't. It's the other day that I have the problem..
So any suggestions for my cheat day would be appreciated.
Also, how badly does this problem affect me and further progress (i'm currently at 7.8%bf down from 18% in september)??

Bro you have made insane gains! youve been cutting since sept and your down to 7ish% you should be proud of yourself. Dont be to hard on yourself and award yourself that cheat meal/meals once a week no matter how much its going to be. Since its only for a day it aint going to derail your plans since you are consistent the rest of thw week.
I wouldnt worry about it bro as long as you dont go eating the whole pizza/chicken parlor up.

thanks bro i need to hear that every once in awhile....this has been a ton of work! Just been very consistent (320g protein/150gcrbs/52gfat a day)...cardio 5 days a week (45min on empty stomach). Went from 205lbs to 174lbs and lost 5 pounds of muscle. At 7.8% now and stomach is very flat, abs are finally starting to show (abs underdeveloped, some loose skin) and looking nice and thin up top.
It's great to hear that all this hard work wont' be slowed down too much on my once a week downfall!

i disagree on not worrying about the cheat day. Yes the couple of cheat meals are ok, but filling yourself with more and more until you feel sick is not good. Taking in 6-7000 calories on that day isn't going to help you get down to the 6% bodyfat you talked about in your other thread. What i usually try to do is still eat healthy for breakfast and save my cheat meals for the afternoon and then dinner, that way you're full from dinner the rest of the night and don't have to worry about being hungry and cheating......just MO though

thanx bro
i'm definitely going to make an effort to clean up a little on the cheat day. someone else today recommended eating clean for the first couple meals of the day and cheating the last couple. It'll be tough waking up on that day I look forward to so much and not running to Friendly's for the lumberjack breakfast though!
