Too Much Fat In Oatmeal!!!
I personally follow the P+C and P+F meal type diet, as a lot of you on here do. I also hear a lot of ppl using oatmeal since its such a great carb source. However, 1/2 cup contains 3 grams of Fat and 27 grams of carbs. Now I dont know about you but when I bulk up I eat way more then a 1/2 cup of oats, more like 1 1/2. Consuming this much oatmeal is quite average IMO, but when added up comes in containg a whopping 9 grams of fat!!! Now this plus whatever fat you may have in your other food choices would put you at a minumum of 10 grams of fat for your "P+C" meal. Isn't this horrible? Wouldnt eating oats defeat the purpose of the P+C and P+F idea?
Thanks

Not really since it's such a low GI. However, eating anything over 1 cup of oats (uncooked which would be 6 grams of fat) is a chore, and I'd choose another clean carb myself.
