    On trt, low libido

Last blood work had my e2 in the 20s, previous total t was in 600s, and free at top of range.

I felt a decent libido increase when I started trt, and honestly maybe my libido was better even when my e2 was 50.

When I did my first blast at 600 mg a week, I felt only minor if any sex drive increases. And towards the end of blast I bumped it up to 800 mg and started to feel good.

I've tried d3, preg, and dhea, rhodiola. Didn't seem to fix anything.

For a while now it has been harder to orgasm. takes way too long, and getting to the point where it feels really good is hard. Maybe since my blast which ended in march I've kind of not felt right.

I honestly feel better than pre trt in most regards. but the libido is still nothing like even 5 years ago before I felt like I had a problem. Could be psychological etc I don't know.

I recently started testP at 200 mg eod. nipples were feeling sensitive and so I increased my ai dosage, but then noticed a decrease in libido and ability to orgasm. Backed off to old ai dose, but might think i need to back off more than that if its e2 related. I am still on my trt dose of 200 mg test cyp a week, 100 mg twice a week IM, stopped doing subq since I thought that could have been a reason I wasn't feeling it as much. I'm kind of strange in that when I take an ai for the first while I get a little nipple pain.

I've also been dieting a long time, since about march. bumping calories up the next 5 weeks to prep for my next powerlifting meet, even though I don't have much room in my weight class, I have been way too week. I've lost over 40 lbs though in that time frame which I think can contribute to this all.

The other thing I hear about with regards to this is prolactin and taking caber. I had prolactin in range but upper end before I started trt. And you would think with good t and e2 levels at many points in my trt that I would have great libido. But I have never felt that feeling of being a 20 year old again. Nor even being 25 again.

Should I talk to my doctor? I could request checking prolactin, they will probably want to test e2 again, but with my dosage being all over the place, and me blasting( I don't even know if my test P is 100% legit) that it might not be worth checking right now.

It's to the point my wife is asking what she can do to help my libido and me orgasm quicker, talking she goes 3-5 times before I can usually.

Any guidance would be appreciated, I'm not sure people can really help, but if you got anything to suggest, feel free, and I'll see what I can do about it.

is that e2 in the 20's a sensitive panel? Sounds like you might be bringing your e2 down to much.
Also dieting and lifting hard usually tends to put my libido in the toilet as I'm pretty exhausted after training for the rest of the day.
Could be prolactin as well if it's too high. You need to let your levels stabilize back to your trt dose and then go to your doctor and get a full blood panel.

Libidos tricky because even if all the hormones are right, if you're not mentally into it or your training hard it can be in the toilet leading us too think somethings wrong.

Agree with Jo. Some people operate better with slightly higher E2. It takes time to find you're spot. Also agree on checking prolactin.

Ok thanks guys. I was on .25 mg anastrozole eod before I switched it up and increased it. I'm going to drop to .15 or .2 eod for now. Need to finish this cycle before blood work. Honestly even with skipping ai yesterday and waking up this morning felt like I was ready to go. But it also could have been that i carbed up last night. I would like to get prolactin checked though, i just hesitate calling the doc, and then they want to check a lot more, and then i say no wait a minute, lets check that in a month or two lol. I could just as easily run my own blood work, but I would rather have my doctor on board if there is an issue with prolactin.

I am experiencing the same as you S. I am thinking my E2 is too low. This is what my story is so far. I'm 59 & I am not overweight. I am in about week 16 of TRT. I started on 70 mg of test per week. I mistakenly overdosed on az, so I stopped it altogether for a month so it could recover. The E2 levels at week 5 after no ai was 5 times the normal level at 134 pg/ml. Total T was at 1350 ng/dl, so have dropped it to 50 mg test per week (injected twice/ wk using Bass's two spot method). With the az, I took 0.5 mg x 2 for the first week, 0.37mg x 2 for the second week, 0.25 mg x 2 for the third week and the same for this coming week - but things were working better with libido with high E2. I also taking ages to climax, which is far from ideal. I will get some tests this week, but it is taking time to work this out. It seems I might be better at a higher than usual E2 level. Like you, I have not experienced feeling like a 20 yr old in the libido/ sexual department - hope I can see some improvement. I have not tried caber. JH.

Thanks for the input, sounds like a not so fun rollercoaster. This has also been the longest I have taken an ai for, so maybe that could be it. E2 in the 30-40 range I seemed to do ok. But even then libido wasn't outstanding. I think I'll look more into prolactin, but for now I think keeping the e2 a little higher would be beneficial. I wish i could take that low of a trt dose. Anything less than 160 mg a week and I'm rock bottom. 160-200 keeps me from low to the high end of the range for the most part.

stop using ai's allow your e2 to raise , look into getting "DIM detox" to help with estrogen. Ai do more damage then good over time.

does your libido increase when on tren ?

I will have to try tren and let you know.

As for the DIM that is what I tried before ai, it felt like I had took a massive dose of AI. I was really week and felt like trash. And it only took one dose to notice, and second dose was enough to say no thanks. My body seems to process things differently than others, guessing it facilitated using up my estrogen very quickly, unless I could find some at a much lower dose.

I gathered from your post the DIM affected you right away as soon as you started taking it. run it for 6 weeks and get blood work?

One dose and I felt like garbage, second dose and I felt even worse and really weak. I wasn't going to take it again, maybe it was in my head, but don't really want to try again unless I have to.

I think I'll be better off with zinc, and maybe something else, but for now I'm not taking any ai at all.

I'm also down to 213 lbs which could be part of why I'm feeling particularly weak and not maintaining strength. I bumped up calories last week as well, but guess I'll bump them a little bit more.

i dont think the DIM can effect u in as little as 24 hours, except how hard it can be on your stomach for people with weak tummy's.

i would try and run 2 bottles , and check bloods 6 weeks into using the product. very much in your head.
