    24 Hour Urine Cortisol Test

update on status, i just got my 24 hour urine test back and here are the results:

    Cortisol, Free = 55.1 (4.0-50.0)
    Creatine = 3.43 (0.63-2.50)

my doc doesn't think my level is high enough for Cushing's but he wants to look into it further.

he wants to run a NeuroBalance Pofile test that checks for:

    -Epinephrine
    -Norepinephrine
    -Dopamine
    -Serotonin
    -GABA
    -Creatinine

the crappy part is i had to pay $225 out of pocket for the test and i won't get the results back for 2-3 weeks. hope it's worth the money.

i told him that chasing around T and E levels isn't working and we need to start looking at other area.

one symptom that really concerns me is the feeling like i just got in a fight after my wife and i have sex.

hmmmm - interesting... Sounds like you have some sh!t to go through in the next while - that sucks. Cushing's would obviously really suck so hopefully it's not that. Do you lead a stressful life/job/etc? I know I do and really have to figure out how to lower anxiety/stress/frustration etc, from a combination of a number of things...

my entire life has been stressfull but not entirely in a negative way. i have a very active and exciting lifestyle and i always thought i did a good job of managing stress but something crept up on me at some point. i can't say what my job is but it's every guys dream job.

i think if it was Cushing's my cortisol would be closer to 100 so hopefully that's not it.

i'm going to do my urine test tomorrow and then start some cortisol meds right away.

there is a possibility of an adrenal gland tumor. we'll have to figure this one out quickly before things get worse.

Funny I just asked you on another thread what my levels should be Anyway just completed my Free Cortisol and Cortisol test. Have to turn in my urine this morning. Not sure when I'll get the results back ? Thanks for listing your results.

Side note - come over to Thailand where you can get the Cortisol 24hr urine test for $17

What prompted you to get your cortisol levels checked out?

Not sure if your asking me or Zona, but I have been reading Zonas posts on the subject and since I was testing other stuff thought I just add it. No ED issues.

my previous doc thought i had adrenal fatigue so i did the 4x/day saliva test and the results were off the charts. after showing them to my new doc he thought it was an error in the test because he's never seen levels that high before.

after being on TRT for a year i wasn't getting the results i was looking for. i feel 100% better now compared to how i felt before going on T but there are still a few pieces missing.

we decided to run the 24 hour urine test this time and the results came back high. my doc gave me a "cortisol manager" suppliment that i take at night before bed and that's been helping but we have to find out what's causing the high cortisol.

high cortisol can lower LH and FSH which induces hypogonadism.

we should be able to figure out the cause within a month or so through a series of tests. the worse case is a tumor on the pituitary or adrenal glands. high cortisol is a serious condition so this is our promary focus right now.

Yep you need to get your serotonin levels check to check for the tumor ( tumor cells produce and release exaggerated levels of serotonin).. also have to check the catecholamines( dopamine , norepinephrine and epinephrine ) like you are having done..

I also had a saliva test done on my cortisol.. The lab that did it freaked out and said they never saw a range that high, so they retested.. same thing ..very high levels on the 2nd cortisol test.. So i did a 24 hour test and my cortisol was fine ..

I also had a MRI on my pituitary ( checked out fine) .. and did a ultra sound of my adrenal gland ( also was fine.. no tumors ).. So i dont know why my saliva cortisol test came back so crazy when there was nothing going on ( the cortisol saliva test was done at a reputable lab also )..

Are you using a supplement with phosphatidylserine ( to lower cortisol)??

Best of luck on everything and please keep us posted..

when my saliva test came back really high my doc said it might have been contaminated by blood. appearently it doesn't take much blood to throw the test off.

were all 4 test points high? all mine were high so the urine test confirmed this average. i'm not sure what would have happened if only one test point was high with the saliva test and the rest were normal. the urine might average that out and appear to be normal.

i was taking phosphatidylserine from a suppliment store but my doc gave me something else which i'm sure has phosphatidylserine in it. i take one tab before bed. so far it's been helping me sleep but it could take awhile before my cortisol level drops.

after a few more tests we'll have to try MRI and ultra scan.

Just asking because I tend to push myself and get burnt out on pre-workout supps that have caused extreme overtraining in the past. I've often felt something is wrong with my body, but when I cut back on the training volume and frequency everything gets back to normal within a couple weeks.

Hope nothing is wrong. Best of luck to you!

Wow this sounds like my life. Took test c for a while. I was very ignorant and wish I found this website before hand. I did a shaky pct cycle didn't know too much, took cookie nolvadex and two shots of hcg 1000iu, anyway when I took the hcg my testicles started to regain they're mass, I went from no erection at all, hanging with the hottest chicks and nothing, to some what bigger testes of average male but not back to normal. My sac is still kinda not full. I still can't get a full erection and my balls are not back to normal. I'm 24 190, always was an athlete now my test levels are 350, normal but I think they were much higher before abusing test c for about a year. I've heard horror stories of guys with a test level of 50 so I don't think I'm that bad BUT my "wellness" doctor made me take the 24 hour urine test and same as you guys, idk if it's cortisol or a product of the adrenal gland but it was showing in my urine at extremely high levels, 15000 something, don't have the test in front of me. Anyways they got me and MRI on my adrenal areas and no tumor, so the doc says adrenal stress. There were also high levels of testosterone production bi products. He claims I'm pissing it out in my urine hence the low test level airgo my lack of full hard erection that I ever so pray for. At first my physcological level of being horny wasn't there, now it's a little more. And with Viagra I can manage, but it's not the same. Ny pottasium levels are perfect. I was wondering if Dave figuredout your problem and get yourself fixed yet? Also if anyone knows if I would doc has me on over counter vitamins, zinc, wine extract, a few others and 3 liquid drops of cobalt per day. He said in a few months my liver will reset itself and not see my test bi products as toxic and this will in tern boost my test levels since I won't be discarding the bi products anymore my body will retain the bi products and produce and hold testosterone . This doc is not covered by medical and he's expensive so I just wanna make sure that this sounds proper and I'm not getting used for money , and more importantly wasting time waiting for so ethibg to work that won't. I don't think he gave me anything for cortisol levels which seems odd. Anyways let's say I don't have adrenal stress or I do fix it one day, or I can't fix it.. Can I still gain my testicle mass back. It's been two years almost since I cycled off testc, and my endo and euro said wait wait, but they never saw my 24 hr test. Anyways will hcg be a help still at this point in time? Will it be a help if I do have adrenal stress? Will I still he able to take it or will it just not work cause of the bi products going bye bye through my urine? If I don't have adrenal problems and my doctor is just making a mistake, can I gain testicle mass via hcg and other methods combined or not combines to give my testicle mass normal mass and bump my test levels much higher then the low 350 I'm experiencing . Someone help I'm in need badly. Thanks guys for yourtime.

If you respond I will have my test results for all tests and the supps I'm taking to respond to your inquiry. I'm at work and need to get this post out here asap
