One week in - strange result?

I am doing 400mg/week (200mg twice a week) and will be doing my third injection tomorrow. I have always heard that it could take a few weeks to feel anything, but the past two days (following my second shot on Sunday) I have had LOTS of energy. And today I feel hot. It actually feels a lot like when I did ephedrine back in the day. Yesterday I figured it was a fluke, but today it seems like I am trending.

Did most everyone see their energy jump? And how soon?

You're doing cycle levels, so this might get a better answer in the steroid subforum as opposed to this one (for TRT therapy).

    Thanks, I will do that.

I am on TRT - but the doc says she doesn't mind athletes or people with a lifting history being at the top of the scale. We are trying 400mg a week to see where that puts my blood levels.

You are very lucky to have such a nice doc, those are cycle levels.

Man, I know that I am destined to eventually be put on trt I can only hope that I get a doctor as nice as yours.

Talking to her was like talking to someone on this forum. Very knowledgable. She asked my how many cycles I had done and I honestly told her "none". Maybe she didn't believe me because I knew what I was talking about and the first thing I asked was if I could self inject. I can tell her goal is to keep me healthy, and she said that she would pull me back if I "shot up into the 2000s or something".

That's cool. But just realize that 400mg/week is not the top of the scale for TRT. It is well beyond it and it will put your T levels beyond the testable ranges of most labs. My T levels were 700 at around 150mg, and 1200+ around 225mg. Just keep that in mind, as you probably are going to need to bring it back down to a sustainable range after this burst cycle you're doing.

Thank you for the info. I am calling her to clear this up. I didn't ask a lot of questions because I thought she was letting me self-regulate knowing that I might burst. My scrip is for 400mg/week, and when I asked about that she said she wanted to make sure the pharmacy didn't give me any problems if I wanted to "refill early". I am trying to find the level between being on a straight TRT and her giving me some flexibility. I want to do this right.

as frawn stated...200mg is a high enough trt dose let alone 400mg.....if youre coming from low T levels you should feel great and able to make gains with anywhere from 100mg to 200mg ew...nice of the lady to write for more and u can fill and keep for rainy day

I am going to drop down. I feel uncomfortable doing the full 400mg until I get blood work done in a month or so. Then she and I can look at all my levels and I can have a frank discussion with her about bursting.

This is a lesson I learned earlier in life, but wasn't following: "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should"

    Thank you everyone!

Very glad to see you take this approach. It's like anything ... I have a car that will do 194mph, but 70 or 80 on any given day is the way I go. You can always push things up for awhile once you get everything dialed in and balanced a little.

That is why I am in the TRT section...I have been around long enough to have learned SOME lessons. Ten years ago it would have been different.

Cars? Now you are talking my language. I am a car guy myself.

This is nice to hear for a change. Usually even the slightest suggestion of lowering the dosage turns some of these forum posters into instant D-bags. Glad to see you're smarter than that.

I came here to benefit from others' experience...it would be self defeating if I didn't listen to that experience. Right?

I'd say drop it down yourself and stockpile the rest like JPK said. You never know when you might need it.

An unpunctured vial can be good for years. It will gradually lose it's potency, but it's a very long process. Once you've punctured the seal though, I wouldn't recommend keeping it for more than a few months.

Thank you for the shelf life info. I was wondering that as well and hadn't searched for it yet.

Just lucky. This is the first place I went, and she was the first doctor I talked with. I went there because I know someone in their admin department. This is speculation, but she may have thought I was lying when I said I hadnt cycled. She probably gave me more flexibility then I should have been given.

Wednesday night I dropped back to 100mg and will continue on 200mg/week until I get blood tests done.

Energy boost went away after a few days. May have been the Test, may have been mental. Who knows.

The woman I dealt with left, and I don't know if their replacement will be as flexible. I hope they don't start pushing gels or pellets. I am sending you a PM with contact info. Let me know what they say.
