    High Test and Estradiol

I was using 4 pumps of Fortesta daily and 500 iu of HCG EOD and had the following lab results, 4 hours after applying gel:

    Test 492 NG/DL Range 241-827
    Free Test 15.8 NG/DL Range 6 -27
    Estradiol 20 PG/ML Range Less than 63

I went to 7 pumps of Fortesta to raise my levels. I now have the following lab results, two hours after applying gel:

    Test 1457 NG/DL range 193-740
    Free Test 52.4 PG/ML range 7.2 - 24
    Estradiol 54.6 PG/ML range 7.6 - 42.6

I have cut back to 5 pumps a day and HCG to 300. I did not have these new labs done through my doctor. I have e-mailed him to see if he prescribes anything to control Estradiol. I already take ZMA and Dim. Is there anything else that is effective without a prescription? Thanks for your help.

First, stick to a consistent testing methodology. If you are doing 4 hours after gel stick with 4 hours.

500 IU EOD of HCG is too much. 250 IU EOD is a good amount. It is unlikely that anything over 250 IU EOD will benefit you any, and you are wasting money. Your body can only respond to so much HCG (saturation amount) and any amount you take over the saturation amount will not help and can possibly harm you if you go high enough over your saturation rate (500 IU is not going to cause problems).

54.6 E2 is way too high! See what it is after you have dropped back down to your current levels. Your reading of 20 was great. Most people do best in the 15-25 range, with 20 being closer to ideal.

Did you change labs? The ranges changed between blood tests.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe zinc will help with lowering the conversion to estrogen.

It does; about 90 mg per day. BUT, don't confuse this with a pharmaceutical grade anastrozole which is significantly more powerful and response consistent.

I take 100 mg of Zn a day; I do 40 mg of Test Cyp two times a week, I still need an AI. Zn has limited value for stopping conversion. It helps, but it is limited.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I did change labs. I believe the units are equivalent, different labs have different ranges. My doctor said let's first reduce the test before trying to control the E2.

gnbm is on target with sticking with a consistent testing time, otherwise how will you no your baselines. I use a-gel first thing in the am but on testing days I do the bw prior to application. My baseline is anywhere from the mid-4-500's pre application. I did do one test 5 hrs after application and my level was in the mid 800's. Crisler recommends 250 iu hcg every 3rd day for his gel patients. Different than the cyp protocols.
