    New hcg and tamoxifen prescription

I've been on 200mg test cyp for the last several months, total test in the low 600's on day seven before the next shot. Was feeling sensitive and a bit puffy nips so I asked my endo about arimidex , but he gave me tamoxifen and I got bloodwork to test my estro. I also asked about the nut shrinkage and hcg which he was open to me trying, so now my new prescription is

    20mg ED tamoxifen
    1g hcg e3d
    200 mg test cyp ew

Does this sound like a pretty good setup? And is tamoxifen really any good compared to arimidex?

Tamox is a SERM, not an A.I. Read up on it in the forums here. It will block receptor sites. It works different than an inhibitor such as adex. From what I understand it's not good long term, although can have some positive effects on lipids. You need to switch to an A.I. and start with a very low dose. Rule of thumb, 1mg per week for 100mg test. Adex has a 72 hr half life. Go to that forum, you will learn alot. I just started HCG myself and it has made a very positive difference. 200mg test seems high to start out although not unheard of. The norm seems to be around 100mg per week then adjust after bloodwork. Everyone responds differently so it's an individual thing between you and your doc. More is not better. Think long term.

Go to this site http://www.allthingsmale.com/publications.html and read extensively. It's basically the model for what most people do here. He's one of the leading trt docs in the country. Some of the guys on this board have seem him directly. Read it, learn it, live it.

And welcome to the board. Lots of very bright people more than willing to help. I've learned so much here and so will you. Good luck. You should post some bloodwork so it can be evaluated btw.

    Thanks for the info.

I was actually started with 100mg/week and my total test went down after about 2 months, not by a lot, but to about 300 free test % also dropped to about 1%. 200mg ew has been much better, may need to be adjusted down with the hcg.

When I tried Tamox for my E2 issues, same script as you are doing, I lost my libido. Not everyone experiences this. Just something to keep an eye on and be aware of.

    Hcg injections

That allthingsmale site talks about taking hcg subQ instead of IM? Is this typical, my hcg rx says to inject it basically the same way as my test shots. I've been using 25guage 1.5's into the thigh, it goes in way easier than the cyp.

I'm not even sure I know how to do a sub q injection. Is there a difference in the results?

There is no difference in results. Subq is just a lot easier of a shot.

    1. Use a 27+ gauage needle, 1/2 inch long. Many people use insulin needles.
    2. Inject into a fatty area, like the stomach.
    3. Pinch an inch, inject directly into the top of the fold of skin. You pinch a fold of fat/skin up to ensure you don't hit muscle.

Some people inject Test Subq too.

1gm of HCG q3 days seems too high. I inject 250mg twice a week with great results.

Yeah, from reading these forums, it does sound high, may switch to 500. 2xW, that would make it easier to keep track of as well, the e3d seems like it be more difficult for me to keep track of anyway, think it would be easier to have fixed day of the week shots, like the mon night T shots.

What the box says is irrelevant. HCG has many uses, HRT being only one of them. The standard HRT does is 250 IUs, done either twice a week or EOD.

What it says on the box is my rx from the doc, consistent with what he told me in his office. I understand from reading these forums and that allthingsmale site that it seems high.

That isn't the box then, that is the prescription. So it's what your prescription says.

My Test box says to inject IM, my script says inject Subq. See the difference?
