    New rules

I talked to my rep a few days ago and they are now requiring a face to face meeting with the doctor. No more over the phone or just a form filled out by my personal physician. The clinic I use is in Florida and I am on the opposite coast. I am not making a weekend trip or just an afternoon trip for a dr appt. Have any of you other guys heard about this yet?

^^ I think so too...as I talked to a doc on the phone and told me I had to come in at least once before he would do anything...

The law was changed about a year ago and I was lucky they grandfathered me in. Now with a bunch of Florida clinics getting busted and put out of business they are starting to feel the heat and don't want to get busted. This is the reason I worked so hard at getting a local doc to take over my care and I did it just in time it looks like.

Here is a tip for you if your "T" is too high for the local Docs but good enough for the HRT clinics. Find a compounding pharmacy and go there and ask to speak to the pharmisist explain your situation be honest. I did this and she gave me a list of doctors who she sees commonly write scripts for test. You can also try to take your bottles to your local doc and explain your situation show him the bottles and explain you want to have a doctor locally. You can explain that now that your on your body has shut down and you cant afford to fly across America once a year and really need a good doctor to take over your care.

I did this and he cut my script in half but my insurance covers it now. Since then I have talked him into a compromise and I take .75ml E7D and am happy with that. He lets me inject myself at home so there are docs out there you just have to find them. Mine is a Urologist.

Dr. Crisler speaks to having to see a patient at least once a year - new or existing.

    He states; "It's the law".

My Doctor, a Florida TRT practice, does the exact same thing.

If you get in a pinch, find a local Doctor that will oversee your care with your existing TRT Doc as consultant; this is exactly why Crisler does this in his practice. Good business sense to be honest with you...

Thanks guys and gals for the input. I will have to start searching during my break from TRT. This is one of the reasons I am taking a break, that and I have a hernia that needs fixin. And after some of the responses I got in the injury forum I am planning on being out of the gym for a while.

I believe you're all referring to the Ryan Haight act of 2008, google it.

Good luck with the hernia OD. Had one, they are not fun. Went laproscopically. Still hurt like an mf'er.

Not to be the voice of disagreement here, but there are still no shortage of clinics in Florida that don't require face to face meetings. I am kind of wondering if this isn't fallout from the recent "Operation Juice Doctor" or whatever the hell the name is for the sting on several clinics and pharmacies, the most prominent of which was THARC.

But there are definitely more than a few that are still operating the same as always. I made another post about this, but it is my sincere opinion that if your clinic pulls this move, just find a new clinic. Do a google search, fill out some contact forms, and just add in a few lines indicating that you are already undergoing TRT but are trying to find a new clinic that can better fit your needs. Make sure to mention that you have existing blood work and a physical and that you would like to avoid having to redo them.
