    Not happy with weight gain

So i finished my androgel gel month and am at my second injection of Test E 250ml per week. I went from 215 pounds now 233 pounds, i feel ballooned up too. And bloated.

Some of you have said that 250ml per week is a high dose and i am starting to believe it, now i am scared that at the end of my 6 month i will be at 250 pounds, this is really not what i want.

Will that weight gain stabilize at some point? i know that my appetite as increased since starting TRT even on androgel i was always hungry. I try to eat good food as much as i can, and really try to eat less.

Tomorrow i will look into getting back on low carb, i have never been so big in all my life, my clothes are really tight too.

Don't worry. 250mg/week is a high TRT dose, but it isn't a high cycle dose. You aren't going to get huge. If it was that easy we would all be 250 pounds. A dream come true. Heh.

I have been on 200mg/week for almost a year, and that isn't much lower than you (especially if you are on 250mg every ten days). I have consistently put on muscle and lost fat. I started at 215 pounds of mostly fat, and now I am 195 of mostly muscle. I have busted my *ss to do it because the testosterone isn't a miracle drug.

I would do what the doctor says, plus head over to the nutrition section to have those guys tell you what to eat. They can help you put on muscle, or mostly lose fat...just tell them your goals.

What sucks even more is that since i still have laxed ligaments and under treatment with prolo and PRP i cannot hit the gym, nor even do any cardio a part from walking. I really hope Test E helps with the pain and rebuild the ligaments.

Worst is that i am not training, and my body is getting more muscular. Now i know what superstar billy graham meant when he took dianabol back in the last seventies and said its like growing in your sleep.

If i was younger i would not mind all that size but i feel that at 39 and getting up there being that big won't really help much if i ever get to be 60. All that extra weight in the knees and lower back.

Since i am on trt now i guess i can start cutting the saturated fat a bit more, cooking with a bit less coconut oil and butter. And also reducing portions. Eating more often too. Gotta get that weight down

I think it the high end of trt dosages. Do you really need that much? What were your levels at the end of your gel treatment? Also, why the high starting dose of E? Why not start more moderately and work your way up if you need to, allowing your system to adapt along the way.

Too much test for a TRT regime you should try halving that. Even then 125mgs at your age is high. Keep eating clean and doing cardio(brisk walk(brisk walk for hour+ first thing in morning on empty stomach). If you want to lower weight, it may as well be fat right.

    Cleaning up diet for sure:

medical doctor first strike: while on testosterone you can eat pretty much what you want because all the food will go into muscles instead of fat cells (yeah right there is no free ride).

Why the high dosage simple medical doctor said that at my size its the dosage.......

He will send me for a blood test when the time comes, my starting number where 264. I am seeing him again De***ber 7th.

Starting today clean eating like i said.

Getting your diet in order is one thing for sure. Reality is though, you must weight train & do cardio while on TRT. Period.

I have a home gym downstairs in my basement, lots of DB, BB, leg press and benches.

Last time i trained about 4 months ago til everything broke loose and scar tissue in muscles spasm started to really become a problem i had notice one hell of decrease in strength, i was using jaked 3D at the time too and some extra creatine monohydrate, i was barely able to do db curls with 20 pounds and that with jaked 3D and creatine imagine.

This morning i did some training, yeah the hell with it, i feel great. Standing military press i was able to do 8 good reps with 90 pounds barbell. I was also able to curl with 30 pounds db, but the form was a lot better when i went to 25 pounds.

The pump was insane also. 1 month is way to short to tell and most of that was on the gel.

This morning my weight went down to 227 so i figure that lots of that was water.

A member here suggested low carb while on TRT, that was a great suggestion that i looking into. I did low carb before but never while using steroids .

You won't put on muscle indefinitely. You will reach the level your body wants to be at with your new Test levels and then stop. Think of it as being a muscular 20 year old again. You will not get big if you aren't lifting.

If you are getting big, it isn't all muscle. This stuff isn't magic. For example, I worked my butt off all this year and felt like I was getting pretty big, but was still soft despite losing a lot of fat. I cut my calories to 1800 a day, upped my cardio and lost 18 pounds of mostly fat. I didn't realize what a fat*ss I was until I was able to lose 18 pounds and realized that I STILL have fat to lose. This isn't a scale game, it is a mirror game.

...but I assure you, it is impossible to get "too big" just by taking a little Test and not exercising. But, I sure wish it was!

Johnny Vegas most people think they need to lose 10-15 pounds, when they achieve that goal they then realize its more like 30-50 pounds.

I am not discouraged because TRT is not a one size fit all like anything in life, for me low carbing worked wonders, i am a big fan of the primal diet by marc sission, in the book he says that people should eat at least 100g of carbs per day and they will still reap the benefits of low carbing. My best bet for now is follow marc advise, when going more atkins i feel really bad, hitting ketosis.

I reajusted everthing this morning, cooked a small steak but instead of frying it in 1 tablespoon of coconut oil i went the tea spoon size instead. This again will be trial and errors.

If i wanna look good i know i have to lose at least 50.

Like i said i was able to train a bit this morning, i feel fine now, and did 20 minutes of cardio on the kinect. Hey not much but at least its that.

Honkeykong i am not ready to say he is incompetent because if it was not for that guy i probably would have taken my life already. He really fixed me up good, to now at least be able to go threw a day without too much pain. I have been put on testosterone for many reason, the other reason is to heal my body, repair ligaments and tendons, because i failed to get the results other people get on prolotherapy.

I have total confidence in this man, 250ml is just a starting dosage, he is far from being stupid, he will re-evaluate and build on that. For me he is one hell of a genius because since starting TRT about a month ago, i have a lot less muscle spams, my calve muscles where always tight hurting, go figure why, i didn't do anything different, over exercises them, walk more stairs then usual. The spasm is gone, my traps and neck region the pain was terrible, now its manageable.

I am patient and ready to give it time.

I think your doc is pointing you in the right direction.

And boy are you right about people thinking they need to lose a little when they need to lose a lot. I lost enough fat to look and feel good, now I want my abs back! I haven't seen them in a decade.

I never ever had abs, even when i was the 5 feet 10 inches 138 pounder at 16 when i started training in the gym, i always had an extra layer of fat on top. Getting abs is of no concern to me, my genetic suck and i have to live with that or either i put up 7000$ and get a surgery done which i am far from having that kind of money.

Get myself in some 34-36 inch jeans now that would be the ultimate goal, i am now in 40 and very tight. Using TRT to put on quality muscles, well from what i have read and seen its possible, using diet and training to do the rest.

50 pounds i gotta allow myself a good year maybe more to lose that.

I dropped 50, and went from 40's to 32's. Take a pic of yourself now and put it on the fridge and on your bathroom mirror bro - then get after it.

yup thats bunch of bullshit! testosterone will only help you recover faster and keep your gains, it adds no muscle on its own whatsoever! like the guys said, clean diet and exercise are part of TRT protocol!

I am fitting in my 32s now. They are snug, but I am almost there. The amazing thing is, these are the pants I was wearing when I weighed 165. So my waist is almost as small as it was then, BUT I WEIGH 30 POUNDS MORE!

I do believe that testosterone on TRT can build muscles, at that even better then when we where at 18 years old, for me i am seeing some bigger everything right now, my delts are taking form, and my biceps and triceps too, i have no doubt that combined with a great diet and training program that amazing results will come out of this. 200 pounds seems to be a great goal to shoot for but lets just start with smaller ones first.

Feeling the pain relief, my hands used to hurt, my feet used to hurt, my calves used to hurt, and my upper back used to hurt so much before starting TRT, the muscles spams felt was painful as hell, now the pain is gone, i feel amazing, to be honest if TRT would only get me pain free like this everyday that would be enough for me.

I'd tend to disagree with that. There have been a few studies done on males between the ages of 19 to 47, and without working out and energy and protein intake were standardized at 35 Cal/kg·day and 1.5 g/kg·day, the groups over 100mgs gained about 10 pounds over a 10 week period.

exert; Body weight increased significantly from 79.2 ± 5.6 to 83.7± 5.7 kg after 10 weeks of testosterone repla***ent therapy (weight gain, 4.5 ± 0.6 kg; P = 0.0064). Fat-free mass, measured by underwater weighing, increased from 56.0 ± 2.5 to 60.9 ± 2.2 kg (change, +5.0 ± 0.7 kg; P = 0.0004), but percent fat did not significantly change. Similar increases in fat-free mass were observed with the deuterated water method. The cross-sectional area of the triceps arm muscle increased from 2421 ± 317 to 2721 ± 239 mm2 (P = 0.045), and that of the quadriceps leg muscle increased from 7173 ± 464 to 7720 ± 454 mm2 (P = 0.0427), measured by magnetic resonance imaging. Muscle strength, assessed by one repetition maximum of weight-lifting exercises increased significantly after testosterone treatment. l-[1-13C]Leucine turnover, leucine oxidation, and nonoxidative disappearance of leucine did not significantly change after 10 weeks of treatment. There was no significant change in hemoglobin, hematocrit, creatinine, and transaminase levels.

There was another study very similar, that showed increase in lean muscle mass increased with dosages.

auslifta thanks for this study, yeah pretty much what my medical doctor told me too. I feel very lucky to have been put on Test E, tonight i went for a walk went good , then played Kinect sport 2 for an hour, baseball, football, skiing and finished with tennis. Game is awesome.

i don't disagree if you are eating enough to feed your muscles, however if your diet is not right you can lose muscle and gain fat while on TRT! it really comes down to proper diet if you want to look good!

Bass while on TRT its the ideal time to kicking the protein, i used to eat around 70g a day now i doubled that amount added a 50g protein shake, diet is everything and i know this. But Test E is going to have a major impact on the body for sure.

From what i have read the normal testosterone production in a healthy male is around 5-7mg per day. Now i have been told to inject 250mg every 10 days, not sure if this is they way to put everything together but here its goes or maybe someone else can shed some light on this.

So within 10 days the maximum testosterone production for a healthy male would be around 70mg give or take a few. Which means that i would be injecting more the 3 times what i would be making.

Also supplements that boost testosterone are worthless when someone as low T level, i have been using ZMA for 2 years now, and diet well even worst, i have been eating whole eggs, red meat everyday since i was diagnose with light anemia of 139 (normal for men is close to 157), cooking in coconut oil and butter. My cholesterol levels are on spot, from all that saturated fat so there its another myth but still my T level is low.

I am glad to say that the weight sort of came back down, 2 days ago i was around 233 the highest i have ever been, i cut calories, fat and did some cardio yesterday with some weight training, this morning the weight had gone down to 225.

I bought a program on ebay got a great deal on it called the adonis effect by John Barben or something, paid like 20$ for it worth close to 70$ i think. The program is very good its got 3 sections, burn, build and build burn.

I have very far from the measurement to have an adonis body LOL, but i feel i can start doing this program again, without too much pain.

I will start on this Monday and see how everything goes. I still have a few PRP appointments with prolotherapy so i need to break up my training to let the ligaments heal up. The rest of the cardio will be done on kinect, man i am sore today not from the weight training i did yesterday but playing dance central 2 and kinect sport 2.

Diet in check and from now on no more ordering out at work, my girlfriend got this huge cook book for pressure cooker recipes, bring on the beef, potatoes and carrots and veggie mix.

This week the weight went down so not sure if it was a bit of the side effect from test E.

sorry to rag on you but get rid of the potatoes for now! pressure cooker is great but it gets so hot that it destroys all the nutrients in the food, but once in a while its ok. don't be afraid to fry with olive oil or even butter, they are good for you if used moderately.

He will send me for a blood test when the time comes, my starting number where 264. I am seeing him again De***ber 7th.

Starting today clean eating like i said.
Some of these Doctors have no business treating Low T. Your body weight has ZERO bearing on how much Testosterone you need as part of your TRT protocol....What a turd.

For frying i use butter or coconut oil. Love the taste with coconut oil.

abbot138 i understand your point, i have since spoken to my medical doctor and a women at the pharmacy about Delatestryl. I spoke to them about that 200mg per week and why i was given this high dosage, i also asked them about HGC and if i should be taking something else with the Test E.

For now i have to get my testosterone level in higher level, also have an evaluation period on the dosage and see how my body reacts to it. Both of the people i spoke to have lots of experience in that field, also the women at the pharmacy showed me how to inject myself in the glute pain free.
