Anastrozol dosing frequency

Concerning frequency it's common to be told by clinics to take 1mg each day for 2 days starting 24 hrs after test injection, then we have the line of thinking that says to split the dose into smaller doses and spread them evenly throughout the week, I subscribe to the latter........however, I've been thinking about this a little......stick with me as I'm not the best with the written word......I read where Anastrozol is about 88% effective at eliminating estrogen, that doesn't really tell us at what dose and how much estrogen though.

My thoughts and questions are this.....considering the half life of Anastrozol combined with the smaller doses spread throughout the week, could it be possible that this protocol doesn't stop e2 as well as the 2 higher doses taken a day apart?

I'm curious because of the acne I have been having lately, it started about the same time I switched to smaller more frequent AI dosing, I've gone without HCG for a week, no change. I have adjusted my test dose and frequency, no change. I started injecting test sub Q, no change. But when I increaed my AI dose......CHANGE!! Even though it was only temporary it made me think that maybe I should go back to taking 1mg 2 days in a row starting 24 hrs after test injection or maybe even skip a day between, just going back to the larger doses.

I know that blood work is the only way to know for sure and we are all different in how we react but you guys are the only people I know who will entertain my mindless blathering about AI dosing so.......thanks for listening, I'm gonna give it a try but I always welcome ideas and suggestions from my bros.

BTW.....acne is the only symptom I have noticed, otherwise feel pretty good.

have you considered doing it 1mg eod, 2 mg total a week per your prescription? to me it makes sense to spread the dose throughout the week for consistency.

Do you inject once or twice a week? My thinking is if you injected once a week the T to E conversion is going to be highest during the peak T levels. Maybe why you did good on the 2 days ai after inject. When you divided your adex up throughout the week you were not blocking the conversion by not having enough ai during peak T leading to acne sides.

ana$trozole has a half life of 50 hours so spreading it out makes more sense, most of my patient do fine taking it the day of their test inj and 3 - 4 days later (1/2 mg) twice a week, some need a third dose or a higher dose but two doses for most will cover them for the week. Like everything else, you have to find out what works for you. Bass, GD, and anyone else who wants to chime in, what works for you - I think we'll find there are many ways to dose that work. Obviously depends on test dose and other variables.

That's what I mean, taking it in two doses as opposed to every other day. It would seem to me that if the test dose was higher then the 2 higher doses of AI would be warranted.

I started at 1mg spread out over the week. .50mg on injection day (Monday) then .25mg on Wed/Fri.

I've since dropped to .75mg a week after noticing joint pain that I never had before.

I'm even considering just .50 spead out over the week in two doses. Trying that this week and next to see how it goes.

I really need to get another blood test though to find out exactly what is going on.
