Timing of taking an AI?

Do you typically take your AI at the same time as your injection? The next day, or ?

Depends on what your taking. How much estro you need removed, and what your using it for. If your just using adex while on cycle you could take 1mg eod, .5mg ed, there are a lot of different ways to use the drug. Find what works best for you, because were all different. With a little experience you will find wht works best. As far as time of day or injection timing, it does not matter as long as your taking it.

Ppl say 1mg a week per 100mg of test is the rule of thumb.

Currently I'm taking 50mg twice a week of test c and using .25 mg of adex same as injection day , don't have bloodwork till March will see than I might even bump up bloodwork

Take AI between 12 to 24 hours after injection so both peak at the same time.

If you took the AI on the same day as injection no big deal...but if you want optimum levels...

I'm starting out taking .5mg of Arimidex once a week. My E2 level wasn't super high at my last blood work [38 (3-70)], so I plan to start with a lowel level of AI and see where I'm at in another 6 weeks or so. I was mostly wondering if there was an ideal time to take it. I'll plan to just take it the take after my injection.

thats exactly what i do and my blood work shows its optimal.

GD, everything I've ever gone by supports cyp to have a half life of 7 to 8 days, and an active life of 15 to 16 days. I know everyone metabolizes it a little differently, but I didn't know if there was other information that I've been overlooking?

Vette - I think, honestly, that half life of Test Cyp is about 3 to 5 days seems to be the general consensus and Ethanate 5 to 7 days.

I've heard Crisler speak to this as well and he believes half life in about 4 days.

Here's a sentence from one of Crisler's papers on Testosterone injections:
"I also keep in mind the coordination of the injection with the lab draw, as peak serum levels are attained at about the 48 hour point, then fall as the week goes on".

Interesting eh?

From drugs.com:
"Cypionate and enanthate esters of testosterone are absorbed slowly from the lipid tissue phase at the IM injection site achieving peak serum concentrations about 72 hours after IM injection".

So 72 hour peak (3 days) half life equates to 144 hours (6 days).

Most Doc's in the know prescribe taking anastrozole 24 hours from the Testosterone injection as they both peak at about the same time (AI ~50 hours).

The confusion Vette is I should have written "peak serum levels" and not "half life" when corrodinating taking and AI in reference to Test injection.

GD, all is good, I had a feeling it was more pertaining to the peak phase of the compound, which you are spot-on correct about. No worries, that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying it.

My holiday nemisis was a little more sugar that I anticipated. Stayed away from the booze OK, but those damn cookies got me. Well, the cutting action starts this week, bye-bye sugar! Also bye-bye deca , back to a normal, average American TRT protocol.

OP, sorry to hijack ... Definitely take the AI about 1 day after injections and you will be in good shape.
