    1st Labs after starting TRT

I got my first lab report 3weeks into TRT and am surprised and dissapointed.
My Estradiol is high, which I could feel, and my T is still Low, which I could also feel.

What throws me is that my RBC and Hemocrit are Low?
    The latest RBC is 4.55 (4.7 - 6.1) My prior was 4.46 (4.7 - 6.0)
    Hemo current: 41.4 (42 - 52) Prior was 41.2 (42 - 52)

For Comparison, my Pre TRT Total T was 291. 3 weeks in, it's 448.
    Current Free T = 110 (47-244)
    Current % T = 2.45 (1.5 - 3.2)
My Estradiol is now 41. It was 33.

My overall feeling is a little better and I still get A.M. wood most days.
I still have trouble getting and keeping an erection when it counts.
    Comments appreciated/welcomed!

    Attachment didn't open. Invalid path....

Give your levels time to stabelize. Recent posts discussing just that. I believe gd mentioned that Crisler waits 6 weeks to review.

I read gdevines write up and it was great. I was more thinking about my RBC and HCRT being low.
Everything I have read led me to believe they should be trending higher. My BP has already shown a marked increase.
I guess I assumed there was a correlation.

Nope. I was getting ready to, after reading that it was standard fare for the TRT lifestyle. I generally donate a few times a year anyway.

I am still just on 120 Test C/wk. I have my next Dr. visit in a week.
As for the e2 thing, my nipples itch and are far more sensitive than ever before.
And secondly, my ED has gotten worse.

Don't worry so much about RBC and Hemocrit being slightly low on the reference range; these are snap shots in time and they fluctuate.

At this point Total Test is less important than bio available and % free which you are about mid range for both; that's not a bad thing.

In fact, your % Free at 2.45 is actually almost dead on!

SHBG is on the low end of the reference range so there is a little less binding action going on; that not a bad thing either.

Total Test at 448 could be higher but these labs are only 3 weeks in and it would be better if it was at least 6 weeks as noted...maybe longer.

Your Estradiol in high BUT looking at the reference range here it doesn't look like a sensitive assay; more for a women. If this is not a sensitive assay the panel is worthless and not telling. You do present symptoms of elevated E2; ED and sensitive nips. Can you confirm if this is a sensitive assay?

At 3 weeks this isn't too bad at all. You may want to discuss increasing your weekly dosage to raise total above 600.

Are you taking an AI to control aromatization?

Are you injecting hCG to keep your testicles functioning? Remember, you are now HPTA suppressed and without hCG not so good things happen.

May want to consider adding in Pregnenolone and DHEA to back fill the pathways. See if your Doc will prescribe micronized pills of both.

Would have also like to see Cortisol, Progesterone, DHEA-S and IGF-1.

I do not have an AI yet, nor HCG .
I will be discussing these with my Doc next week. If he won't prescribe them, I will be searching them out on my own.
