Ahhhh, actually that does make sense, I wasn't thinking in terms of copycats, it just struck me as odd that some one who allows public access to his studies would disapprove of an open discussion concerning TRT and his studies and findings. I would suspect that there was more to the alleged incidents than what needs to be discussed here..........copycating someones complete protocol would certainly be bad without any care from a doc, we share and copycat many things here but I can certainly see the danger in it.

Maybe I'm just being cynical, but each of the various forums has their celebrity doc, whom I might add, does not mind negatively critiquing the others views and work.

I don't take it as cynical, just an observation. Which is exactly why people here should use these forums as the great source of information and education that they are, but then make an informed decision about their health care with their doctors....

A doc stopping treatment of a patient because they get seek guidance from a community? Look, I understand business is business, but the entire premise of this forum is to seek the input and opinion of other people who have a similar medical problem.

Stopping treatment of a patient because they seek such counsel is incredible and I cannot imagine a legitimate doctor would do this often. The doctor has the right to stop treating who they want, but how would you feel if your mother's gynecologist did not allow her to talk about her breast cancer treatment (or anything else) on a forum?

^^^^ Understand your point and it does seem a bit obsessive to be honest.

I can only guess that because it's relatively easy to purchase and self medicate TRT protocols that he's concerned that some one may copy one of his protocols that was formulated for a specific set of conditions.

But I can say with 100% accuracy he has terminated a few patients in the past for disclosing his protocols.

Dr C is my doc and he's great. The issue with posting what you are using is it maybe new, or maybe something he wants to try on YOU. Now you go posting you see Dr C and you use this EXACT thing. Someone on the internet uses this because hey it works for him it must be good and what if this puts him in the ER or screws him up for life, how would that go over?

I read the forums and take everything at face value but lots of people don't think and copy what everyone else is doing think it will work for them. It's a RISK to the doc if he has patients posting what they are doing EXACTLY because it can harm them. Again the difference here is posting what you are doing not exact dose etc.

I doubt that his protocols and methods vary enough from the mainstream to put anyone in the er that has been qualified as a trt candidate by another physician.

    Proprietary maybe...

dont like having to walk on ice for ppl who dont think either

what if some idiot were to see bullseyeforever's protocol when he first started posting....something like 600mg of test ew???????

this all came about when crisler was being pushed and his protocols being the "best" etc.

Agree with Flats and J as well.

Unless it was a extreme case or something out of the ordinary I can't see it.

Hell, if it was a big concern you'd see all kinds of Docs using this same rule.

If any doc is concerned about someone copying a T therapy please save them a mild TIA by telling them not to read the thousands of threads about people taking grams of steroids per week from sources nobody could identify . I'm just playing devils advocate but no doc is going to be so radical in T therapy that people are going to start dropping dead!

My Doc knows him well and has said he has an "ego" and is "a bit aggressive".

Makes sense but he does help men and he is on the leading edge...go figure.

Maybe he is on TRT himself and doing burst cycles with Tren ? That might explain the aggression.

BTW great thread although I had to read between the lines on a few of the edited post.

I bet its more for protection on Doc's part. If his patient goes out and says 'this is what im doing and this is what the doc told me to do' then someone tries to self medicate because they assume it will work the same for them. Then when something goes wrong, Doc could have some legal issues (yes they wont actually go through on then b/c no substantial claim) but he will still have to get a lawyer and deal with that stuff.

Intelligent people realize this, but there are alot of idiots in the world than can read anything and try to do it.

i think that everyone realized this but still think its ridiculous

so say a doctor has me on thyroid meds and i post i'm losing weight and feeling great and i'm taking armour or whatever so i post my dose and someone else sees that and takes the same dose and kills himself...the doctor sure as hell isnt responsible

I have to think Docs get sued enough that they know some second hand person who isn't being treated by anyone that self medicates has no case against suing a doc that they heard recommended XYZ. That would be sickening if it did happen!

If my doc said I cant talk about my treatment I think I would walk. Hes my DR not my lawyer. I cant think of a reason unless he was worried about his protocal and it being considered experimental or not accepted by his peers or mainstream. Being sued over a copycat trt protocal doesnt make sense either to me. There are those that do get mad because you are the leader in any field and make you a target because of your sucess. That I can understand.

Might be the worst reply to anything I have ever posted. Are you seriously going to post that on a forum that is all about information sharing?

So does dr crisler bill insurance? Can you fill your prescription at a local pharmacy or do you have to buy from his compounding pharmacy?

I was wondering the same thing. That sucks... You can always still bill your insurance company and if they would typically cover the prescription from a doctor they will this way also. It's more of a PITA but it works. The only thing they wont cover is the office visits and possibly some prescriptions such as HGH if he proscribes that or HCG .

Either way it doesnt hurt to try and bill your insurance. Also anything out of pocket can be added to your taxes for medical expenses although typically you need to spend 7.5 percent of your adjusted gross income before you will get any part of it back.

Keep in mind a lot of insurance companies use Express Scripts and they have their own compounding pharmacy. So, if your doctor writes it and sends it to them, done deal. I've just started switching some of my routine meds over to them as I was initially hesitant. It also cuts out the majority of co-pays that you normally have at your local pharmacy. They also send you about a 4 month supply at one time. Nice.

Yes express is good, sometimes you only pay a one month co-pay for a 3 months supply!

^^^If your insurer dealt with them they'd be sending you mailings all the time and you'd already have one of their cards. If your in their system it's like AARP. Relentless! It used to annoy me but now I'm looking at it as a good thing. Less trips to the pharmacy and way less copays. Adds up over a year, or lifetime for that matter.
