TRT Questions - Just Got Approved

I just got approved for TRT. They are prescribing me 200mg of Test CYP once a week, plus HCG and an AI.

My questions is this. I was taking Anavar for 4 weeks, actually still am, 60mg a day. I also have taken 250mg of Test CYP once a week for the last 2 weeks.

After reading these boards, and posting a few questions, everyone suggested i get on TRT, because i didnt do proper research before starting this cycle. I had no AI, no HCG, as well
    as no PCT prepared.

Now that i am getting on TRT, should i stop the ANAVAR asap? And save it for later? Also, should i add 50mg CYP to the 200 the DR prescribed so i stick with 250mg a week, as opposed to 200?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just to be clear, were you taking the 250mg when you had your blood work done?

Where are all these Drs prescribing 200 - 400 mg a week for trt? For me only to take the script and hoard a bunch of test. You should be starting at about 100 mg and work up from there.

Agreed. and YES stop the var until you get your trt dialed in. Start at 50mg 2x a week. Get blood work after 6 weeks. Adjust accordingly

I'm also curious, were you on the var when you had the blood drawn?

Why stop the VAR? is it better to add the VAR in towards the end? Or can i get some bad side effects from it?

There is no end to trt. And the dose is too high. Your levels were likely low because of the var. you probably don't need trt.

If you're doing this as a cycle, please start a new thread in the steroids q&a section.

im gonna get bloodwork drawn in 6 weeks. I was posting in the steroids section, and everyone on there told me that i should stop what i was doing and get on TRT. Im 37 years old, and my TEST was 213. Even if my TEST levels were 400 before the VAR, thats still way too low.

Problem is it seems you jumped on TRT (or whatever you're doing.) without finding out what is causing you to have low T. Could it have been the anavar which is suppressive? Or could be a thyroid issue, cortisol, prolactin, adenoma, who knows without investigating it further.

So, here is how it went down. I got myself some VAR, not knowing anything about all this stuff. After reading posts on here, everyone said that i needed a base of test, but i didnt wanna do that.

I then went to a nutritionist to get on a proper diet. Not a medical nutritionist, a friend who owns a health food store and and makes meals for a lot of bodybuilders. He put together a meal plan for me. He also suggested i got to my DR and get bloodwork done and that he thought my TEST levels were low, and that most likely they would be low at my age anyways. SO i did that, and TEST level came in at 213. So i got a bottle of TEST C.

Right after I did, and i posted in the Steroid forum, everyone told me that i was doing things wrong, and that i should look into TRT.... That doing this without proper supervision, and without HCG and an AI was nuts. So thats what i did.

Just trying to do this right bro.

Kel can evaluate my recommendation. . But I say stop everything. In 12-14 days run a standard pct protocol (it's everywhere on this site).

Wait a month. Get blood work done.

This is as simple as I can put it. You jumped on trt not knowing whether your levels were even low. You obviously don't realize trt is a lifelong thing.

Educate man. Get off now. Do a pct. Start over

also Thyroid was fine. the TRT DR had me draw more bloodwork and came up with 200mg a week of TEST C to start, with HCG and an AI.

If that's based on TSH alone it's a weak indicator of thyroid health. You should WANT to know what is causing this. Not just band aid it. I totally agree that you should come off and find the root cause of your issue before launching into a life time commitment.
