Making TRT work for muscle growth

So after reading and researching all that is involved with a cycle, I have decided that cycling isn't for me. However, I am currently on the Androderm patch for low T (67 count). I feel better with the patch and am getting blood work done on Friday, but haven't had a T count of over 160 for years even when on Testosterone Cyp.
Anyways, I am curious, is there anyway to make the prescribed dosage (injection or patch) work to my benefit in the gym? Like the time that it is applied? Overlapping use? Supplements that would further enhance gym performance?

I've been on TRT for 5 yrs. I've found just getting ur hormone levels optimized is enough to get decent size and lean out. Before I got on TRT I was fat and couldn't get lean even with diet and training. Since getting on TRT it has taken that handicap away.

I've even noticed I can eat a bit more and stay leaner. I never understood how important hormones were until I got on the test. It's a game changer.

My first 6 months I lost about 35lbs fat and gained about 15 lbs muscle. Huge difference!

Muscle building is a slow process but you'll find u look a little bigger and get a little stronger every year as long as u train and eat correctly most of the time. Just be patient.

Thank you. That is encouraging. I'm going to be more proactive with the results. I guess I have been too lackadaisical up to this point with my health.

Just out of curiosity, what levels were you able to get your T to and what method were you using?

Lab corps "normal" total testosterone range (348-1197) mine: @1200
Free testosterone (8.7-25.6 )<-- From memory but it's close mine: 25

Pre TRT my total was 349 and my free was 7.2

I use and prefer test Cyp inject sub q twice per week. IM caused too much of a spike in test which then caused more conversion to E2,at least for me it did.

Exactly what I was going to ask. At 34 there must be an underlying reason for such low levels.

You know my next thought but some docs wouldn't check for it anyway...

I wasn't aware test cyp could be injected sub q? Is this typically in belly area? How frequently? Pros/Cons vs IM?

Actually anywhere you can pinch some fat, but yes, normally an inch or so outside tne navel. SQ is geared for smaller, more frequent injections as issues can arise with larger doses. Twice per week is normally the course of action warranted. IM or SQ is just personal preference.

I can't think of a single con with subq, except I've found keeping 4 Injection sites and rotating between them works best for me where the sites have adequate time to absorb the test before it's used again. Otherwise it can become irritated and sore. I use either side of the naval and both sides of the love handle area for a total of 4 sites.

The con I Had with IM is I couldn't get my E2 to level out. It was all over the place and I was having to take anastrozole and it was a big mess. Once I switched protocol to subq, I was able to drop the anastrozole completely and my E2 stayed at an optimal level.

Wow I thought I was the only one out that suffered from not being able to loose weight. I have been going to the gym for a year now and I am stuck with my weight loss. I am 219 lbs. 28 % BF, 49 years old and this weight has been really stubborn to come off. I finally talk to a nutritionist today and he said he had a client that was 49 yrs. old that suffered from Low T Level and Hormones out of whack. Good thing I did blood work for my T Level and Hormone Deficiency from my doctor, this might be the game changer. I have read that when you have a high % BF that it turns into estrogen so I have been scared to cycle but since my doctor is doing everything I may just start a TRT if the BW comes back out of range.

^^^ TRT was a game changer for me. U don't want to cycle if you're 28% body fat.
