Possible infection from an injection?

Hey guys. It's been awhile since I've posted because things have been going really well but...
Yesterday I did a shot, in my thigh (same general spot I always do it). Anyway, the shot went great! I had almost no pain. Now, normally, I jog and then come home and shower and do my shot but yesterday, I showered, shot, jogged, so idk if that has anything to do with it. But while I was Jogging I noticed a sharp pain in my calf but everything seemed fine so I went on with my day.
So today, I feel like I have a giant knot in my thigh... when I touch it, there's nothing there but I have mild pain with every step I take and if I flex my thigh it feels like hell. Lol
So, idk... does this sound like I maybe hit a nerve? I don't see how I could have gotten an infection, I'm always super clean and sterile when I do my shots but anything is possible.
What are some things I should look out for? Thanks in advance

Was a new vial. It's quite a bit better today, I think I just hit a nerve. I'll keep an eye on it and report back

Nerve, PIP and you trained the muscle after injecting.
No infection I'm 99.9% sure.
For infection look out for fever and generally feeling unwell.
If the spot doesn't clear up in 5 days I'd begin to worry.

I've had quad shots to close to the skin looking red and throbbing,
was sure it was an infection (no fever though),
so I just stuck a 21G needle into it,
and red blood smelling oil came out.

Next time it happened I just waited and it cleared in 5 days.

Speaking currently from a hospital bed aftern2/surheries. Get it checked out asap. I had an abscess and was in full sepsis
Doc said if I waited one more day I may have died. So don't listen to any of the usual "man up" replies. Go get checked by a doc. Either reg or ER
