    post slin injection shakes

can you use carb-up for your carb shake after a slin injection? it has many complex carbs and i think about 54 grams of carbs per serving.

You really want strictly glucose (dextrose). Anything with complex carbs is going to give you a supply of simple carbs over a longer range of time, which means your initial "need" for simple carbs may not be met in a timely manner, and you could go hypo. Normally this isn't an issue, but with insulin , time is of the essence.

How about a combination of both? Simple carb(Dextrose) and a complex carb for slower release into the blood? This is only a question I have no backing behind this......I am curious to know what happens with the complex carbs over the period of slin activity if done with this method?
