    Weird Sh*t!

Hey boyz. yesterday was day 2 of my Humalog run.....I bumped up the dose to 5 iu PWO.....however, when I got home from work(before my training)
i gave myself a shot combination of EQ and Prop......half way through the administration I started to break out in a sweat and got a little dizzy and hungry. I was like" WTF!" Theses are signs of Hypo and I haven't even taken my slin shot??? What do you think it could have been? I jammed a bunch of cookies into my system and everythig went cool. So I contineued to the gym....trained.....then hit my 5 iu PWO followed by simple carbs and a protein shake......again everything went smooth. So is it possible to develop low blood sugar even when I didn't take a shot of slin?

So you're saying, regardless of when you take the shot you should stilll keep your carbs high throughout the day while on a slin cycle? Does this meen the Humalog affects the body' own insulin spikes?

It just sounds like you either got some gear in a vien, or you were just hypo due to ur diet. The slin injection from the day before shouldn't have anything to do with it.

Where can I get pure dextrose? Supplement stores? Why do diabetics carry chocoltates and O.J with them just in case of going HYPO? I figured any type of sugar(cookies) would get me out of shock? But thanx for letting me know that it's not the best choice.

Sounds like you were a little non-energytic coz of such low amount of carbs in ur system which could have led to hypo

Hypo isn't a huge problem with most tissues.....the brain is the exception. Most fruit juices contain primarily fructose, which is the best source of simple sugars to provide the brain with (fructose and glucose are roughly transported at equal rates in the brain....however, fructose is more readilly usable.)

Insulin greatly increases the rate of glucose uptake in muscle and adipose via glut4.....it has no effect on the rate of uptake of fructose.
