i load my syringe and put a few ice cubes in a empty pil container like the large 180 count CLA bottles and throw my slin pin in there. Keeps it cool enough untill I am done withmy workout and then I am off to the bathroom:

Some1 on here said you can get a box or sometin thats ice packed. You could store it in something like that. It will only last a you a few hrs b4 the ice melts away, but it will still b cold after the ice melts, and plus a few hrs is plenty if your going to the gym

You can keep slin un refrigerated for up to 29 days and it will still be usable.

I dont know about wrapping it in a cold -pack because te slin might freeze. Also I am not sure if that will harm the insulin . I know on the lable it says to keep it at a certain temperateu range.

Dont wrap it in a ice cold pack, thats just like putting it in the freezer. And you are not supposed to freeze Slin, only refridgerate. The above part that I mentioned about a box you can get thats ice packed would be fine to use as the actual box is ice packed, but the storage part where u put ur slin contains no ice in it. So this would keep the Slin nice and cool, but far from frozen. But do not directly wrap the Slin bottle in ice.

Your local pharmacy should sell diabetic supplies. For 10 dollars I bought a slin carry case that holds a reusable ice pack, 2 slin darts and 2 vials. The ice pack goes in a seperate compartment and keeps the case cold like a little cooler.

just had an idea guys....they make those "squirt" or sports bottles at places like wal mart that have gel in the outershell that you frezze to keep your water cool....you could take one of those and keep it in the frezzer and then drop the slin pin in it and screw on the cap and go....

and it would look just like a **** water bottle you drink out of

Insulin will survive outside of the fridge for about a month, a year if kept refridgerated, i think the degradation is overrated?
