    Subcutaneous injections and blood vessel?

When doing a sub-q injection, do you have to worry about hitting a blood vessel? My assumption is "no", since there is no mention in any instructions I've seen of aspirating when doing sub-q, but I don't want to do anything without knowing first the right way.

    Thanks!

Sub-Q injecting on the whole is low risk when it comes to blood vessels. Like you pointed out, when being instructed on give a Sub-Q injection, nobody says to aspirate first.
