    Problem - IGF mixing confusion!!!

I am getting confused here, so I thought I would ask someone to spell it out for me...

I have a 100mcg vial (IGtropin) and 1ml water (as it is packaged) I also have a U-100 Insulin pin.

With this in mind, how do I measure the correct dosage. As an example, if I wish to inject 40mcg per day in one go, how would I measure this out using my PIN?

My current understanding is this: there are 4 tick between each number ie. 10, 20 etc.... If I want 40mcgs, then I draw up 3 ticks?

    Fingers crossed.

    100 on the slin pin equals 1ml, 50 = 0.5ml.

If you reconstitute the 100mcg vial with the 1ml of water you have 100mcg in 1ml.

Measuring then could not be easier, 100 on the slin pin = 100mcg, 50 = 50mcg so 40mcg = 40 on the slin pin.

Cheers for the info, however I need to be clear with this.

You say: Measuring then could not be easier, 100 on the slin pin = 100mcg, 50 = 50mcg so 40mcg = 40 on the slin pin.

So to take 40mcg I would need to fill up nearly half of the slin pin? THis has confused me as I have read that the problem measuring IGF is that you have to count the ticks........

Could you or someone re-clarify this as I don't want to overdose.

    Cheers..
